So where does a person go in Vancouver to hook up :). I'm traveling there this week and not going to take any through the airport so will need to find it there. Are there dispensaries that don't require a card? I'm getting a little concerned here lol.

I went to Vancouver before and was in the same situation

I went down to the new Amsterdam Cafe....there will be fellows outside with backpacks that will help you

If it's in the evening....if you are facing toward the store....there will be a street to your right...and there will be a bank machine outside.....just stand by the bank machine and you will be served

Hope this helps

if you have a script there is no problem at the airport I have flown out of Edmonton Ottawa and Toronto Told them I had 2oz in my carry on they said not a problem have a nice flight did not look at the weed or my paper work.
I don't have a scrip :o and yes I've heard about the cafe ...... Haven't had to make a street deal in 40 years lol. I'm also going to see a niece who lives on the island so sure she can hook me up. I'm gonna call her tomorrow.

..that's great to hear
after reading though i thought; man it must give a weird feeling, being an adult and waiting/hoping on others to boot for you, like you likely did as a teenager for beer :D

I don't even tell them...I throw in a big Ziploc with the grinder and the papers and oil and whatever else I want to bring and throw it in the carry on.....

Ya I guess I've gotten paranoid in my old age :(. I flew to Alaska with a 3' bud duct taped to my back in 2004 as a sample :o. I've went across the ditch with 300 lbs on the back of a snow machine in the late 90's but I've sadly (or smartly lol) lost my nerve :(. And it's a business trip so I can't fuck it up by getting busted so I'll just wait till I'm there. I actually thought they had dispensaries there that didn't ask for a card but I guess that's over.

Any prescription bottle with your name on it will work for most disp. In Vancouver. Doesn't need to be a cannabis prescription, any pharma prescription will do. Just let the disp. know your looking for an alternative to your pharma pills, and they will hook you up.

Itsme.
That's good to know! I'll be taking a few bottles of pills. I'm a traveling shoppers drug mart due to a back injury :).

You are supporting the Hells Angels purchasing from those street dealers who are hanging out in Victory Square. I've seen them hospitalize teenagers trying to make a few bucks selling out of that park. They also used to run a shop on the third floor above the amsterdam cafe for older folks who don't like purchasing cannabis in the park. Same as the Cambie hostel just around the corner. They always have a guy hanging out at the jukebox with 3 gram eights for 40$. They have a monopoly down there and do anything to dissuade market competition. As a customer you will not be in danger at all but its a very sketchy business plan.

Being in the city, you will have no shortage of people walking up to you on granville, robson or hastings asking you straight to your face if you want cannabis. And like others have said, show up to a club with a prescription bottle from your doctor for any medical ailment and the clubs will help you out, they enjoy making money and above all else some of them actually want people using cannabis instead of taking pharmaceuticals.

If you make your way to english bay, the spanish banks or wreck beach you will have another large group of individuals peddling herb out of coolers and backpacks.

And once you get to the island your niece will have friends here and there who have tons of cannabis so i wouldn't worry about finding your way once you get off the ferry if for whatever reason you couldn't make hay in the city.

have fun on your trip and enjoy some good food. Hons on robson (in the west end) is an excellent restaurant and their is also a world famous noodle house right near lions gate bridge, Kintaro Ramen. Vancouver is a wonderful city, world class for tourism.

And the real sad thing is I just trimmed up 7 ounces of some really good pot, oh well, atleast the one jar I'd be smoking will get a 2 week cure lol.
Stop by one of the many dispensarys in Vancouver that offer free or cheap doctors visits and get your script while on this trip. Turn not having bud into a positive. Just make sure it's a doctors or nurse practitioner not a naturopath signing you up. Your membership at one dispensary is almost universally accepted at the others in Vancouver. And when you get home you can grow with a little more comfort that your covered from arrest. Might as well do what I suggest as east Hastings isn't the best place to do drug deals IMO. Unless you're into herion. Then it's perfect.

Thanks for the info! Greatly appreciated :). I was hoping to hook up and then check out some steelhead and cutthroat fishing in between work. Taking my fly and spinning rod, never leave home without my weapons lol. Thanks again for all the info.

Hey guy!

Goto CannaClinic and see Brit.

Or head over to EDEN medicinals and see Adolpho.

Both of them will make your trip to Vancouver a "smart" one? ;)

(Price went up on smokers cards by the way.....used to be free....now they want 100$ for a membership)

Totally worth every penny. Even if you pay 10$ a gram, you still get the storefront experience. It's is a really strange feeling. Kind of like when Thurgood Jenkins fills his script in half baked...

That's like saying you won't get a sin number because you don't trust the government..
.
.

Well not exactly but I have always had a great experience at all the clubs.....gang/biker/foreign/corporate owned or mom and pop....

They have a great business model and the staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. (At both Eden and canna clinic)

I wasn't advising anyone to "go into business" with them....
