do you need total darkness during veg? i have a few light leaks and what not in my veg cab, plants look fine just want to know im a risking a chance of getting hermies once i send them to flower since it is not totally dark during veg?

no sir, light leak is not a problem during veg, i have my veg plants wide open on a desk. i have a pvc frame over them just to hold the light above them and i just put my fan near them oscillating.
flowering is a different story though, light leak can not happen during night time

...I run my veg with 24 hours of light......no darkness.

i used to do that but i see very very very little difference, and i want the most life length from these LED's....if it was hps the extra energy spent isnt worth the miniscual extra yield + losing bulb life, 20-4 works very well too....

Very nice, trichlone fiend. In pic #8, how did you get them to look so 'top heavy' so to speak? I'm assuming it's from trimming the lower branches, and/or supercropping?? What size bloom light, and what kind of yield are you getting, per plant?

(sorry to hijack the thread.lol)

Its proven plants grow faster during a 24/hour light period.

Maybe so, but here's my question.....Rather than keeping the lights on 33% longer(24/0 vs. 18/6), would they grow faster if you used the extra electricity consumed, for adding more intensity, in 18/6? This is just a hunch, but I'm rather certain that given the same amount of electricity consumed, that 18/6 would outperfom 24/0, kilowatt hour, for kilowatt hour. The only drawback is that you'd have to buy more lights.

I like to argue, so am going to say that I'm still not convinced.lol  Anybody have a side-by-side results?

...constant topping and some lower light issues forces me to trim, correct.
600w HPS. I sog w/ smaller plants (16-25 half plants per light)
...I yield 3/4 lb. - 1 1/4 lb. per light atm.(strain dependent, ofcourse)
