Topping with LST?

Just started LST today, was wondering if topping would be a good idea with this method of growing? Will topping add to much stress when first starting LST?

I would first say it wouldn't be any more stressful than just topping really. I've never had LSTing noticeable slow anything down. Chopping off parts of your plant will slow growth for around 10 days before it starts to pick up again. I don't really like topping and someone else will probably tell you differently, but your lst has a good amount of side branching starting already and before you know it the whole canopy will be filled. I think topping all the terminals would just make it insanely hard to spread out evenly without the branches being on top of each other. I got an lsted clone right now that is a bush and it already difficult to fit all the bud sites without bending a few branches straight out sideways.

Personally, I wouldn't, unless you have plenty of time on your hands to keep shit situated (then again if you're using HID lighting you won't have this problem, as much). For me, with CFLs, it was too much work (i'm lazy) to keep the canopy nice and even. I like topping, I like LST, but, I don't like them much together. I prefer LST.

if your lst'd you don't really need to top. also some strains aren't good for lsding since some are so bushy that you just end up with one side that is so bushy that to bottom half doesn't get light anyways. topping stresses the plant and you end up with 2 or 4 smaller colas instead of 1 large cola.
