mine looks nothing like yours, shhhit now Im wondering if I should just start over.
my plants are 1 week old (seedlings) and they are not even half that size. they are green and pretty but look nothing like yours, my problem is lighting, I didnt quite understand the concept of it all, slowly but surely I am getting it.
I am using CFL but only 2 23watt. which is NOTHING compared to what I need.
ok I will go take a picture so everyone can laugh at me.....
if you notice the sand thats on the top soil, its due to fungus gnats that came in my MG so Im trying to get rid of them
they look short because I buried the stem in the dirt and then topeed with the sand

no dont try and start over, no biggie, there growing so thats a plus. im using a 150 watt (40watt) cfl bulb, i keep it about 2 to 3 inches above the top of my plant, right now i have it on a 20/4 hour lighting cycle, dont ripp them out, just be patient, if your getting fungus on the soil make sure you have proper water drainage that could be causing the fungi.

oh no I wont rip them out, no way. I am a slave to my grow room and am obsessed with constantly looking at my plants. hopefully that will subside. Ive even had dreams of grpwing plants , like every night it feels. Im obsessed.
I want my babies to grow, I want them to look like yours do when they are 2 weeks. now Im doing 19/5 and I lowered my lights.
we will see what happens.
the damn gnats came with the soil I bought. fun fun
if you learn any cool tricks or techniques, please feel free to share with me.

There is a ton of threads on here to help u step by step with topping, but I would look into LST first! I think its better for ur plants!

yes I do plan on growing all the way with CFLs. Ive been reading as much as I can to get a better understanding of the lights.

There are cfls, that are pretty decent for growing, I have 3 of them, all in diffrent spectrums, but u have to pay the price for them, don't go get some small cheap ass cfl and expect it to make magic, I bought mine from www.stealthhydro.com

how many plants do you have under those 3 lights? and what is the wattage and spectrum?
