I'm still subscribed, its fun to watch the failure rate continue at 100%............

I honestly don't get what this dude is complaining about.

As far as the failure rate.... It was Thomas Edison that once said, "I have not failed, I've just found 10,000 ways that didn't work".

Lol, that might have been cheesy, but who cares!! Keep it up canndo, some people do appreciate this thread.

Well said upthearsenal. :) I dont think anyone knows what the other dude is complaining about the Internet while typing on it for......

I'd LOVE to see tissue cultre to work, its a wild idea and prospect. Just a little tired of all these no-posters joining up and saying they have it down pact when in reality, if they did, they'd have pictures and instructions rather than prepaid cell phone blurry pics and then no returns when we ask for more info...... I do love the Internet. :) :) :)

Although I agree with you Kitty, that I have not been able to show roots (and flowering plants) and nothing in this site is real unless there are pictures of it, I wonder why you enjoy watching people fail. At the risk of offering you another lame excuse, there have been problems, including my contracting sever pneumonia for 3 months - kind of hard to perpetuate the experiments when I can have done nothing but sit up and contribute to this site. Things are coming along though, raw material being grown, room being resterilized, chemicals being re-purchased (I want fresh ones). I have done other things of this caliber and I have seen the light here, so I do not quit.

I am not sure I understand Kitty, you aren't claiming I posted blurry pics from my cellphone are you? I have taken extraordinary care to present everyone with the best and clearest pictures I could - I even got a new camera with some kind of macro settings for this very project.

I enjoy watching people in this thread fail because each time the thread authors promise us that "they've got it this time!" and never deliver.

Its more entertainment fail than desire to see the technique fail. I hope someone does it, I just hope that people quit wasting all of our time until they have something worth contributing or can actually *gasp* use a camera while a plant they "claim" works is flowering.

Still no flowering plants to be seen............ It isnt about you, canndo, or anyone here in specific, but the general mass that keeps bringing this thread 288 posts of nothing instead of 288 posts of useful information. How old is this thread? NOBODY has a working camera but ppl claim to have flowering plants?

I can get a camera for $5 at Best Buy, disposable digital! Come on, son. :) People are leading us on and not delivering. I respect failure. Watch my grow thread, when I fuck up something you see it and what I did to fix it. All we see here are people who think they can do it, fail, and then abandon ship and walk away instead of sharing experiences. Sad....

Ahem, I never maintained my camera doesn't work, What I said was that the amount of activated charcoal in the gel kept roots from being evident. I am on my way to restarting the entire grow having recovered from my sickness, having a good 4 months until warm weather sets in and finally having enough living material to begin again in earnest. I will point you to the dozens of pictures, the explainations of technique and methods and the (I hope) clear demonstrations of how I got as far as I did. You will have to admit that you have not seen such a strong progression of sucess up to rooting. Now as far as rooting is concerned, we all know that the chemicals used to promote rooting are common and perhaps everyone here has grown clones from stems dipped in a solution of those chemicals - so rooting even from plantlets is not theory. What IS theory in my opinion is hardening off - this is and has always been my biggest concern. Tiny plantlets, grown in a rarified atmosphere, in highly specific environments, being as I have said "on life support" will likely not take kindly to being thrust into the real world of lower humidity and every day sorts of growing mediums will be a challenge. I am hoping that this challenge is one that can be surmounted not by difficult and technical means. If this is all I can manage then I might be able to show that it CAN be done (something that some people want, and I want simply to show everyone how utterly wonderful I am). But that is not the ultimate point here, the reason I started this is so that anyone with an interest, a few dollars and a little savy can follow along and do it themselves.

Eventually, as I have been saying, I intend to apply advanced artificial seed methods in order to make garage mode encapsulated "seeds", but we will see won't we.

This is, after all, my thread and my attempts, I have done as you said, I posted my failures as well as my triumps and will continue to do so, if for no other reason than I said I would.

Hey guys, I'm thrilled to see this (props Canndo) I was just pondering whether anyone has tried this whilst using medium inoc'd with PGR-secreting bacteria? Unless it's a situation of pressure for the limited resources seems like it would have potential...thoughts?
Thanks for your time,
MPP

My medium is purposefully dead at this time.

Cool thread! Often thought about this but never thought it could be done at a laymen level.
Being able to learn is a gift, being able to teach....Awesome! Thanks.

Hi Canndo
How is that ultrasonic system is working? I bought a mag stirrer and I used it for the mix for the medium and used it also for the washing of the stems. Works great but I don't if I am doing more damage then the ultrasonic.

Could you give me your insight on
carrot callus initiation media, Similar media can also be used for shoot initiation, which is called carrot shoot development media, I got this information from the The Biotechnology of Cannabis sativa which is written by Sam R. Zwenger

Canndo,
Could you share at recipe for a medium that has work well for you? I have try a few but unfortunately I'm been hitting empty, for instance I bought a precision lab back lit pro digital gram milligram carat scale 0.001g x 20g, just to weight 0.2 mg/L TDZ, 0.1 mg/L NAA & 0.1 mg/L IBA and to be honest with you, I had issue just getting this amount of weight on this scale.

Thanks
