Tire certificates (tire warranty)

I'm 40 something and I started driving at 15. Fast cars pushed hard, 4x4's on trails, and I have NEVER had a tire fail to defect or road hazard. Nor do I know anyone who has. In fact I have save money on BFG's for my 4x4 by buying "blems". F'in tires lasted 80k miles and STILL had tread. I rotate every 6k and keep them properly inflated at all times. What I do know is that the $80 you will save not paying for a warranty they will find a way to weasel out of, will be about 25% of the money for a whole new set. I wouldn't buy tires online. Call around a little. Some smaller tire stores have the same tires for much less.

What are you looking at? Size, car?

I recently had a newish Michelin just give it up. One morning, it was completely flat. No transition. Through fault of my own, i did try to drive on it without knowing oit was dead flat. When i attempted to reinflate it, it had big sidewall blisters. Until now, Michelins have always treated me right. I replaced it at local redneck retail. Ouchie. If another of these tires misbehaves, I'm gonna stop liking Michelins. cn
