agreed on the watering and nutes
but i dont agree with the rest of it if you know your strain well enough
then you know your limits
i top lst and super crop almost all of my plants
my journal is nothing but pics of random auto's i think ive only let one grow out natural in the last couple years
alot of this is myths and misinformation
Great insight! It is my understanding that the plant has on average about 6 weeks to veg. If you stress it out, does the stress impact its ability to veg? I thought that the majority of effort goes into fixing whatever stressed the plant in the first place like topping, or transplanting, or any other type of stressful action.
What from what I said is a myth? I am not being condescending. I just want to know more about what are the facts.

and alot of stress delays the total time it takes the plant to finish the plant has no timer
it will flower when its ready and will finish when its good and ready its not going to fall over one day
it will still finish
if vertical growth was stunted it was because the tap root hit the edge of the container and adapted to the container size
transplanting done correctly barely affects the plant negatively its when there left in the first container to long that does it
lst is a auto's best friend
i also use supercropping but just a pinch on the branches not a bend and twist
fimming can be useful for a lolipop pheno/strain that needs a few side branches to actually yield
any stress will delay flowering and harvest
except container size if you want a fast small plant use a small container and no nutes until preflower and just one dose of grow then one week later start bloom nutes
agreed on pruning do not remove any fan leaves let the plant do this on its own
cut a fan leaf early and your cutting you yield
not trying to steal your thunder but im sure we have read alot of the same info

LST should be encouraged with Autos. No/low stress, allows more light exposure. Fuller bushes, more tops, even canopy, maximize yield. Why would you want tall Autos?

This post is partially correct, but also a little silly because it completely disregards the fact that Ruderalis is actually a tougher and hardier than Sativa or Indica. You can lst the hell out of them. The think it tickles and they continue growing very quickly.

When it hits a wall or obstacle it says to itself, "I will make a plant big enough for this area." This one bit of unknown is why people are saying "autos suck. My auto is only two feet tall." Some of it is genetics, but a lot of it, if you didn't by a dwarf plant, is because people don't realize a few basic things about ruderalis.
Saying autos only yield an ounce per is silly. They yield in relation to the skills of the grower and the genetics of the plant. Some autos have no problem popping off several ounces. My friend just harvested 4 ounces off of one 8 week Autopounder. Think Different has no problem yielding 5 or 6 ounces and better growers are getting more than a pound off of one Think Different (setting records and such). There are other great yielding strains too. Autos are not "autos" (as in they are all the same). Just as photos are not photos.

this is how it adapted to living in thin layers /thawed layers of semi permafrost areas
some of siberia/russia is not a friendly place for a plant
I think I now understand where the disconnect it. Everything I said was under the impression that the plant WILL flower at 7 weeks regardless of if it is actually ready or not. When you say, "any stress will delay flowering and harvest", The key here is DELAY. If in fact the flowering stage is supposed to happen at 7 but due to stress and other factors this gets pushed out to 9 weeks, then that is a completely different statement then "The plant will flower at 6 weeks regardless of whether it is ready or not". I think that's the disconnect I had.
Now, based upon the new information, I would 100% agree that LST, topping, and supercropping would be beneficial.
This is great info! You see, even after mounds of research, there is ambiguity in how the plant actually flowers....There is NO direct set-in-stone time it will flower...It will flower when its ready is the key....

it's WHEN you do it not all strains or pheno's are the same you have to NOW YOUR STRAIN well enough to read it
when i grow a new strain i do one control just lst'd and then what ever i think the other one needs and compare results

The auto strains I've grown--several running right now--pre-flower at three weeks and are fully into flowering on or before week 4. What's this flowering at week 7 talk all about? What strains are those? I don't see much advantage to an auto that takes until week 7 from seed to flower, except that you it could flower outdoors in greater than 12/12 lighting. Seven weeks is a long time before flowering starts. Did I misread something here?

ive had 9 week total strains that started flowering at week 10
the longer they veg the more of a plant your gonna have larger containers take longer to veg
the advantage other than the any time flower outdoors would be the speed that they veg
in a side by side a auto will almost always out veg a photo
the growth stage of a auto is violent to say the least 1-2 inches a day easy

i think half this bullshit is put out by breeders.. if you just grow out an auto w/out doing anything to it you will get the min that plant has to yield. if i'm only getting an oz/plant then i'm gunna have to buy more seeds then if i'm getting 2-3oz/plant.. i followed all the rules on my first grow and that will be the last grow i do not manipulate is some way or another.. i'm harvesting 2-3 times off a plant right now and the only thing that happened is it kept growing and getting frostier.. i like those kind of side effects
I too am seeing 1-2 inches a day of growth. I had my CFL's about 2 - 3 inches above the plant and this morning, it was almost an inch away. I had to move the lights up a bit.
All said and done, seems like the stress I put her in by topping, transplanting, and LST, didn't phase her a bit. She is chugging right along. The pic below is what it looks like at around 3.5 weeks. Next Monday will be the beginning of Week 4.
I was just going off of what the breeder / seed bank mentioned on the specs (Flowering between 7-9 weeks).

7-9 weeks total from seed to harvest usually 9-11 weeks
some can go past 16 weeks
the only way ive found to get the results that the breeder describes is plant in a 1 gal 12/12 or 18/6 start to finish
only use veg nutes and introduce those at preflower 21 days/ 5-6 nodes
then you will have a fast small yielding plant
the reason the breeders call for 12/12 or 18/6 is that this is the only way the plant will stay small / stealth

have you tried super cropping the branch about 3 days before harvest ?
it will throw out crazy trichs compared to the branches next to it some self defense thing
can i ask what week you start your harvest ?
i ask cause around 16 weeks most the short lived auto's go down hill
if you could bite the bullet and let a 8-10 week strain go a month over you will not be disappointed
i had a noob moment my self turned the timer on manual so my 400w hps was on all day with my 400w of cfl
i bleached the shit out of 3 main cola's on 2 plants
sucks to open your box and see white leaves

I've never heard of an auto taking 7 weeks from seed to begin flowering (and I checked them out for weeks before buying, and read a ton of grow journals). If it's taking 7 weeks for them to begin flowering, maybe you don't have enough light on them? Some autos can go from seed to harvest in 7 weeks. All of these are over three feet tall, the taller phenos went way over five feet tall and I had to tie them down to keep them off of my lights.
