Here's a new pic, FBG (Fat Bottom Girl) on left, Pretty Girl on right. Yep I name em. Mainling adds veg time for sure; but it's fairly easy to control buds sites going in to flower. There are no bud sites under what will be the initial veg canopy, with trimming while training the colas under 1st ring, all start above and the stretch does the rest. FBG is shaping up for thick short colas, Pretty Girl looking more sativa with spaced flowers. One extra leggy cola that I may super crop in the next day or so. I dunno we'll see..

Do you train your plants to go through the top of the cage or out of the middle section of it?

I top twice before getting colas routed under 1st ring, then keep them routed outside 2nd ring. I let a couple off shoots find their way into the center. I can secure colas to 2nd ring which will hopefully be all I need to manage cola weight. I have yo-yo hangers if needed. The tricky part is getting them under 1st ring. Once they make it under it's game on, they start shooting upwards.

I did mine through the middle, but they got way too heavy and had to be rerouted out the top and tied to the top as well, didnt think about just tying them to the cage from outside on purpose though, but i didnt put mine on till flower though, maybe next time ill try it different

All caught up, nice DIY light man. I'm very interested on how you built the frame! The pictures you uploaded help out a ton.

Subbed for this bad boy.

Good stuff

Hello RIU,

OP here with a new screen name, I couldn't access my account after an email address change, oh well I just created a new account.

Well Shorty finished early and is already jarred; it's lights out chop chop for big girl tomorrow. Cheers to Timber COB kits (shameless plug), the LED forum which got me interested, mainlining, and Mary Jane. I love you man :)
