Alright I had three males that I chopped yesterday. I'm sure they were mostly indica as the leaves were darker, and wider. They were drying since then. Put them out on the clothesline for a while today. Then I plucked all the leafy material off chopped it up just a little bit so they wouldn't be whole leaves. The leaves were surprisingly sticky. I had to use a jar of olives as I didn't have any other jar to wash them in. I washed for 40 seconds. Shaking the hell out of the jar trying to make sure everything got wet.
The jar was completely full a little overstuffed actually. I didn't fill the jar up even half of the way with iso alcohol as I didn't want it to take forever. Unfortunately all we had was 50% iso alcohol. I strained them through two coffee filters (by strain I mean I put them in the filters and squeezed the liquid out) had to put a little in one time, then a little in another time as I said it was three plants. I then proceeded to dry it with a hair dryer as I didn't have anything to smoke. Lol Alright about 45 minutes later I then proceeded to wave the plate around in the air for a while to dry it more. End result I got a tiny little bit from three males obviously not nearly as much as you'd get from some bud, but it's pretty potent as it's hash.
Now that were through with the details I have questions. Most of the stuff on the plate didn't really get super dry. As in super dry I mean after it dried it was kind of oily in a way. Not sure if that was it being as the iso was 50 percent water, or just byproduct. The stuff I did get I had to rub it around on my fingers to essentially take the stuff off I said wasn't super dry. Kind of oily. I know the first time I made it It wasn't the same as that.
Was that due to the iso being 50, or just like leaf by product? Would I of gotten more using 97 percent? I know next time I ever make ISO I'm making sure it's 97 percent ISO.
Now you know you can make some amount of ISO hash with males! Something to do with those males now!
