This is probably not going to be a very popular opinion right now…

But I've been thinking about it ever since the pandemic started. And I can longer just sit idly by and let my conscience get ripped apart. OK so, I don't really think sliced bread is all that great. I mean, when I make a sandwich, I think the sandwich tastes way better when I use bread that needs sliced. That's a stupid fucking bullshit saying. OK thanks for letting me get that off my chest. If you are going to reply bashing me, just make sure you include a pic of nude sandwich making.

There is a scientific basis in support of your opinion, even more so with whole grain organic breads. Science is on your side Neo, you walk with the angels.

I disagree. Cutting bread is a royal pain in the ass.

I feel awesome when I do it. And I get to use a knife.

There is good whole grain sliced bread out there..... The key is the double bagging. Its in like a cellophane wrapper and then another more normal looking bread bag.

See that's one thing I fucking hate is double bagged bread. The cellophane layer is unruly and fucking useless after opening. Just give me my bread. Why add an extra obstacle.

Ok. Tell me what to do! I have had some bad experiences with messy Hard crust and Soft fluffy dough that has too many air pockets.

It's all about the knife. You need to invest in a good bread knife. Then softly but yet with intent, you need to slice the bread. Usually in a back and forth motion. Like you're slicing bread. It really is da bomb diggity.

That's not a nice word.

How does one reseal the cellophane layer? I don't think it can be done. Like I said it's too unruly. And rigid. And short.
You dont reseal it. The best you can do is keep it intact as possible and when you take the bread you are using out, use the second bag to sort of hold the cellophane bag closed. Its not 100% but its better than a single bag... I dont use much bread and typically throw the first piece in the trash every time I reopen the bag....

Every time I venture to San Francisco I make a pilgrimage to bread Mecca, pier 39 Boudin Bakery.... I must buy 2 loaves to get one home intact. Fresh baked SF sourdough bread is a drug to me. If left to my own devises I would live on it.

Last time I had a loaf from them was in March right around the time the virus started to explode. Good stuff, even if a little touristy.

When I was a kid I would put a massive amount of butter on the bread end and fry it in a skillet using potato masher to make it paper thin and crispy.

You should make a YouTube channel that involves you getting high and making Canadian stuff in the kitchen whilst being all adorable and Canadian. Name it "'Eh Laughing Grass Channel". I'll be your first subscriber.
