Yeah, for sure. Next pics I take will be at night and have something to hold up for comparison. The buds on the Purple Kush right now look amazing; way better than the camera is showing with the HPS on. The God's Gift just recently started completely turning orange-haired, and I read from where I got it from that their version of God's Gift is Killer Queen x Mendo Purps and runs 56-63 days. So I'll be pluckin her with the PKs. The Oreo, I heard was a 9 week strain, and that makes sense as long as this thing hurrys up here and starts hardening up and shifting color.

I go on the early side of what I've been advised by people I trust, unless I get to that day and don't think it's ready. I am not a huge fan of the couch lock, so I always harvest early.

Still look'n good keep it going the fun has just begun!!

So I cut down one PK and the God's Gift like a week ago. Was annoyed with spider mites and has another mishap with the PK where I jolted it too hard and the stem got loose in the coco. So anyhow, they got plucked and turned into cookies, with a little nug leftover to see how they were. The PK is amazing. A friend that doesn't know I grew it said it was the best tasting bud he's ever had and quote, "It normally doesn't taste that good when it looks that pretty." And that's from plucking two weeks earlier than suggested, though the buds looked plenty done.

I plucked the other PK on Friday, one week before it's supposedly supposed to be done. The nugs are hanging. I can definitely tell you that this Oaksterdam cut of PK is some grade A+ smoke. It's very dense, has a nice smooth purpley taste, and gets you high as a kite. I have a huge tolerance and smoking this first bit from the first plant I plucked is allowing me to smoke less to stay high.

The God's Gift didn't come out so well. I dunno if the mites just rocked it or if it just doesn't come out good when plucked early, but it smells a lot better in the jar than it tastes. Gets you high but honestly tastes like shwag right now. The plant just didn't develop right. But know that it had extreme heat stress upon arrival, followed by a huge topping, and it came in a party cup at like a foot and a half tall and pretty filled out.

The Oreos are looking great, and the pot size seems perfect for it. Definitely going to have some decent yields off these two plants and the buds are looking very nice and have a tropical-like smell.

edit: whoops, completely forgot to mention that I've found out that I only have one good female out of the seeds I initially planted. So now we're down to that one: Whitefire x Larry OG #6.

LOOKs good LH glad to here your PK did well even with the early chop outstanding..i hope the rest goes well also i'll still stay tuned for the rest to finish up..so how many total days did your Pk flower for? its suppose to be 55 - 63 days right? let me know so ill know what im in for..Peace

I copied this from Weedtracker. This is the clone only PK and info on it. It veges real slow, stays small, low yield, dense nugs, A+ smoke. It's good enough that I'm tempted to run it again. It would be amazing for smaller pots and lollypopping, I bet.

edit: I cut the first PK at day 44 and second one at day 49.

Good to kno the smoke was good, and the pests are gone, that PK sounds great

lookin real good. how tall were they when you did the switch to 12/12? and how tall are they now? to simplify the question, how much did they stretch? and how much do you think you'll yield per plant?

The Oreos only had 4 days of 'vegging' after acquiring as rooted clones. I say 'vegging' because they didn't really grow, just gave them a little time to get acclimated to my grow area from being hauled in a car for an hour as a rooted clone in a small rockwool cube. Oreo is just 100% sativa and known to yield high, so it took off like crazy. If the smoke lives up to the growth, I'd definitely like to grow it again.

How things going?

As you can see, I've got my plants vegging for next grow. Doing my whitefire x larry female, a northern lights #5, a bubba kush, and a blue dream haze. I can't tell you enough how good this Purple Kush came out. It definitely got better on the plant that was left 5 days longer. I can only imagine how good it would be if let go to 9 weeks or so to where it turned purple, though it'd probably knock you outt in one hit. I have high standards and a high tolerance and this stuff is dank. The God's Gift got thrown out, heh. I'm really hoping this Oreo tastes as good as it smells and looks, so I have some good smoke to last me through this next grow. The Purple Kush yield was low, so it will be all gone before long

That PK looks like the dankness...May i ask how many grams? And off how many plants?

There's a few possibilities on what happened with the God's Gift. I either pulled it too early, put it through too much stress during the transfer, spider mites got to it more than I realized, or something. It just didn't develop right.

I lent my scale to a friend and haven't gotten it back, so I have no idea on exact yield. I grow for myself and one other med patient, so I don't need to worry about measuring too much. An honest guess would be about half oz or less per PK. It's definitely a low yielder, but the nugs are real dense and potent / taste like skunky grapes. Yield should be much better on these two Oreos.

That is some great looking bud, if mine comes out like that then i'll be good and happy with super quality over subpar quantity any day bro that is some nice smoke and for PK if your not running 1000 watts and veg for 10 weeks a half ounce is not all bad!!great job..

Thanks, man. I agree about quality. I will be damn sad to see this PK run out. Pretty crazy how good the herb turned out for having plucked them at days 45 and 49 with only 2 weeks of veg on a slow vegging plant. I'm tempted to grow it again, but there are so many strains around here to get that I'm sure I'll find another I like as much or more.

Yeah maybe for you, lol you just made my day i just found out yesterday that my unit will be moving out early to mid december for renovation, carpet etc so that gives me about 55days to flower total before i have to leave the spot..i'll be flipping to 12/12 by monday and the babies will be ruffly anywhere from 9" to the tallest of around 10" ..But asnyway great job..

Right on. You'll be good to go with some great smoke if you got this cut.

Nice nuggets man, lookin forward to the Oreo, she looks wonderful.

Smells great. Kind of a spicy pungent tropicalness. Heh.

They haven't/hadn't changed in the last few days and have already hardened up and the hairs turned and a lot curled in - and in them doing that, I remembered the person who told me 9 weeks exactly is a soil grower. So growing in coco, it'd make sense they were done at 8. Anyhow, I'm going to leave the other plant up for a little longer. The yield on these should come out nice. My guess after cutting them is around 1.5 oz each plant...maybe 2. The main cola itself is as big as my arm, but they just got pulled so they'll shrink quite a bit. We'll see.
