I wanna plug a product I've just started to use. These nylon drying nets don't stick to the buds, allow plenty of air circulation and keep hair and other airborn shit from getting all over everything. Anything that makes my job easier:bigjoint:
Jan 27 2012 006.jpgRelatively inexpensive at around 25.00US and avail from amazon and mb ebay:-P
And while I'm at it this inexpensive microscope helps me look right into the little trichome heads to see if any amber is pushing out.

71VBTz3K5jL__AA1500_.jpg Mb most of you have one already. It was only 75.00US and it produces very nice images like this

This i got from amazon, free shipping on it and it plugs right into a USB port on the computer.
Like i said, anything that makes the job a little easier. Now back to trimming:bigjoint:

I've always wondered about those hanging baskets. Are they sealed at the bottom to catch all the kief that goes through the screen? I've dried on giant plates(platters?) before - you have to turn the buds every day - and there was a layer of kief on the plates. I started using plain newsprint from the printing supply store - NO INK - to catch all the trichs that fall when I hang them. It is amazing what would have ended up on the floor.
So, I guess what I'm asking is: Are you catching any dust from that basket?

the buds were trimmed prior to putting them into the nets and any trim gets saved for my own personal use. if they aren't disturbed i hope they won't lose any triches. so no i don't have anything to catch triches on the bottom layer. you know what? ima put something down just in case. it won't hurt, right?

it was 75 bucks and the shipping was free. i've seen them cheaper though, you may get one like it for about 40 bucks. the power on it is 200x. probably close enough. i wouldn't want one that didn't get me in at least as close. it comes with software and a small stand. i can take stills with it or movies. although i don't think i will be needing videos.

i guess they're just called drying nets. when i typed that description into the search bar on ebay they came up right away.

Very nice thanks for the info...if you don't mind me adding something related to curing...I just found these fairly cheaply and ordered a bunch, seems like a good deal.

my first time seeing these. they are probably great for helping to prevent moldy buds and i guess they're made from silica. if you're not going to be there to babysit your jarred buds everyday like i am i bet they're a life saver.

@lordjin...here ya go. there's lots to choose from

Yeah I picked them up because GudKarma had mentioned them...once I looked into them a little more they seemed like they may be useful, for my situation it's nice to be able to tape a couple to the lid and be able to forget about the jars for a bit and go on with normal life...also I sort of suck at curing so I figured this may be a decent shortcut to circumvent my laziness.
