Thermometer went down the toilet

i was dumpin a bucket and forgot there was a thermometer. It went down the toilet and I googled it and it said glass Mercury thermometers should never be put down a drain or toilet. Is it going to cause plumbing issues? It was like 4 inches little over a centimeter wide I bought from the hydro store for a few dollars

I'm sure it's fine, but wondering if anyone that knows about plumbing, if it broke will those chemicals was away? I'm pretty sure it went down though. I just would rather be safe then sorry I know it's a stupid question. I assume they say not to because they want them being disposed properly

No question is a stupid question. Contact a plumber. They might say it is fine, or maybe they can check for you if not.
