How do you add molasses to the soil?

There's a bunch of different flavors of Molasses

I have had success with Black Strap Molasses you can find at your finer food stores and like I said there are others just look around and see what people are using

And a little trial and error, I also use 1 tablespoon per gallon during flowering, I stop 2 weeks before the cut and just use water for the final 2 weeks like most folks

Good luck :leaf:

My first grow:

Soil - Miracle Grow mixed 50% with perlite
5 gal tubs.
400 MH for Veg and HPS for Flower.
4'x4'x8' Tent
4" Inline Extractor Fan and 2 6" Fans for air movement.

Picture shows 6 plants front left and middle is White Widow Max at 6 weeks from Germination.

Other Plants are Aurora Indica and Medi-Bud

Will post pics every week.

Any advice or comments are welcome.

I posted a different thread about this grow here:

Just thought I would add it to this one.

What are you gonna do with the one you took out? Leave it by the window? You could prune or better LST it to make it fit with the others. They didnt look crowded to me. No trimming should be done now with the others.

Hey Bro - how is it going?

as far as topping goes there are many different opinions on here about that.
Some people cut the top node after the first week of flowering.
Some people cut before flowering (1-2 weeks BEFORE flowering in veg to give it time to heal) so it doesn't slow the flowering process
Some people don't cut at all - they FEM - I haven't ever done this so do a search to see how it's done.
Some people don't do anything at all so it is really up to you. If your height is limited it is probably a good idea to do some type of trimming, or just start flowering earlier to limit the height (what I'm going to start doing - as soon as the clones get 8-12 inches tall in the flower room they go). Now I have also cut the top node 1 week after starting 12/12 and it adds colas - on mine I now have 5 main colas - can't wait to see what they are like in 2 weeks - today they are 4 wks. But - I'll have to wait and see if it really did slow down the flowering process - if it takes 8-9 wks - good. If it takes 10-11 wks - well then I don't know yet if the extra time is going to be worth it. Here are some pics of my girl - 28 days today!!!

Bummer - went and checked on her and the damn 3 3/4" net pot had fell through the hole and she was on her side - she's OK - but a couple of her branches got bent - now more light will get down in the lower branches - blessing in disguise???

Just make sure it gets complete darkness the whole night 12 hours. Cover it with a box. Old time- Im surprised u get 5 colas when pinching at the beggining of flower. Sounds like a FIM type reaction. I cant see it tho in those pics. Looks like one cola.

Day 49 flower. Pic 3 is super skunk. Not impressed with production. Wasnt LSTd like WW so maybe it needed that. Thought it would be done in 8 weeks. Its turning purple though cus it gets down to the high 50s at night.

Afraid my widow looks kinda fluffy and not dense. Its still mostly hairs though, cant see much calax. Have a ways to go yet on both strains...

Bio-Bloom wont help with the light green. You need N. I dont add any bloom nutes until two weeks are up myself. You need that N during the stretch, and dont be afraid to give em a small dose of N down the road as they need it.

I dont do any trimming myself unless Im left with a lower branch with no leaves on it :)

On a side note, should you ever get a gnat infestation. Take care of it immediately! You dont want to get into late flowering and have dead gnats stuck to all your ladies. I spent an hour using tweezers to pluck gnats off my ladies last night.

Oh and everyone check out my signature.
