I think that you do have a point. I also think though that the title of this thread is very relevant to a lot of the trolling that is happening, and white Americans need to have a mirror put up in front of them to see the shit that they get away with. Mainly because about 30% of our nation right now is actively voting for the even smaller portion that would keep the privileges demonstrated in this thread alive.

Sterotypes and the shitty people who perpetuate them is one thing. The difference between them though, is that only one group can leverage the centuries of privilege to get away with it.

Federal hate crimes with mandatory minimums and then be put on the domestic terrorist watch list with no guns or flying. That is how you deal with this shit, not a slap on the wrists in a hit or miss state justice systems. Of course it would be a violation of states rights to put human rights first, some state might want to make it legal for white people to beat up black people as they see fit or for talking back.

I guess she won't have to worry about her neighbors, since she will most likely lose her house and move to a neighborhood with a lot more minority neighbors. I wonder if she voted for Trump? A way needs to be found to ensure that the land gets sold to those who were done over initially. Imagine a former highway and its slum corridor being turned into parks and food&arts promenades, all owned by the families of the originally disenfranchised. Sweet irony.

how many of them will actually want the responsibility of ownership? most, i'm sure, but i'm guessing that there would be a fair few of them that would prefer a lifetime income with no effort on their part...

that is a problem. I don’t have a solution.

One possibility is that this is gov’t land, and they will need a buyer. I dont know if this is practical, but there might be a way for local investors to organize and get in as a team. Having a philanthropic bank account take interest might work. There’s a lot of power in grass roots, and so much more money in nonwhite hands. The 60s taught us that. The 80s taught them how to use grass roots for their interests.
