I had a quick look through it but it wanted me to be a legally registered business representative to sign up lol and most of the companies seemed to be in China or over that way, I'm no good at geography lol, and I didn't really know what I was looking for, I couldn't make much sense of it. I considered asking my teenage daughter to have a look for me but then I remembered what I needed it for and that's not something I fancy explaining so I'm still clueless! :bigjoint:

Lol yes there is a lot of overseas company's lol lots.. But if you look around there is a refine search button with it broke down by country's and then choose your country and all products made there will come up and I just made up a company name, if you search free fertilizer samples I found a page on grass city or autoflower network that has the name and email address of a ton of companies

And I am still being ignored by everybody I try! Wtf?? Although I'm in UK, maybe they're just not as generous here....
I bet if you email some companies in the UK you may have some luck. Be sure to tell them that you are part of the comparative grow on riu. And you can refer them to the last comparative so they can see the exposure they could get

Way ahead of you. I tried manufacturers first. I got a few responses, one I can't remember what company it was, told me they're based somewhere in America and so couldn't help me; Buddha's Tree didn't have any samples to hand but have put me on a list for if any come in;
Plant Magic's rep sent me a sachet of their potting granules as it was all she could get her hands on, she recommended I try contacting stockists directly. So then I emailed all my local hydro shops. There were many more than I would've thought. Took me hours tweaking each email to make it individual to the company I was writing to. I've had one response from an almost local big garden centre saying he'll see what he can put together, asking for the pH of my water, so that's promising although I haven't heard from him since. Even the hydro store on ebay that I've got most of my stuff from so far ignored my message telling them about the comparative grow and asking what they'd recommend I use! So I've just done lots of research to figure out what I want and found a company that distills the nutes into smaller bottles so I don't have to shell out for the full thing without knowing if I like it, although evidently they don't answer emails looking for advice/samples. I'm gonna get the Advanced Nutrients hobbyist bundle with Big Bud, Overdrive, B52, and Voodoo Juice to try first and just see how I go with that for the end of my current run and use what I learn from that with the Heisenbergs.

Haha thanks for the tips, I'll have to have another go when I'm not half asleep and medicated! :peace:

Week 4 update all have been transplanted the seed plant is in a 2 gal pot it's going outside the organic plant is planted in a 5 gal pot with veg soil in the top half banana compost in the bottom half worms and all.. The Rx Green Solutions and the Microbe life hydroponics are in general store bought soil robbed from the wife's raised beds .
Organic 1 is being watered with a aloe coconut water at a ratio of 1 cup coconut water straight out of the coconut and 3 ounces of aloe juice freshly squeezed, poured in a gallon jug with a cup of compost and bubbled 24 hours.
Microbe for life plant is fed 1/2 strength photosynthesis Plus and nourish
The Rx Green Solutions is being fed grow à and b 1/2 strength and floral fed axiom
Really all about the same ,seems that the axiom makes the plant raise its leaves more like praying to the hps gods. Here's some of my 12/12 from seed I've been growing to harvest and reveg for outdoors

First pic, group shot. Left-heisenberg (day 31)
Right - toofless alien (day 23)
Front- 4.5 TGA kaboom (day 12, one twin, 5 year old seeds), 1 Serious Seeds AK47 (day 4, 6 year old seed)
Temps from 66-91 but that's more of a canopy temp, and I like it. Ambient in the tent rarely goes over 80.

Second pic, heisenberg profile, she's a tad droopy probly because I just watered, and it was a day early for sure. Growing really well though, starting to see resin formation on fan leaves. Feeding 250ppm dynagro grow and protekt, with distilled water, as the soil runs out of juice, but every other watering I use my tap water that is 170 ppm.

So far the toofless alien stinks sooo good and the HS doesn't have as much stink unless you do a stem rub, but then it's spicy skunk :)

Hung up my 70 watt hps, they seem to like it

No biggie. What ever floats peoples boats. I just don't see how people have bad germ rates in soil. I plant my pot seeds as well as my vegetable garden straight to dirt. I rarely have a problem. I figure they are seeds and been growing fine in dirt for millennia.
I think moisture of the soil is why anyone has problems with bad herm rates in soil. Which is understandable. If you start in small pots it's not really an issue but if you start a seed in say a 5+ gallon pot. It can definitely be hard to keep the right amount of moisture at the seed, without over or under watering everywhere else. I use jiffy pellets now for seeds or clones. They work pretty much 100%. If a seed doesn't pop in a jiffy pellet, it's probably a dud lol. They keep the right amount of moisture for a couple weeks for seeds/clones so it really takes the guess work out.

I read somewhere that someone had good luck with a company called Cyco. They make nutes specific for autos. The person who posted on whatever thread that was that I read said he basically did what you did and that was call the company and explain what your project is all about and they sent this guy one of everything that pertained to autos that they carried. The person who posted that said he leaned more toward Cyco, as opposed to Dutch Pro, because Cyco sent him free stuff where as Dutch Pro did not, but would send him free stuff if he talked his shop guy into carrying their stuff. Just an idea...
botanicare pro series is what i've been running. Works great! and it's organic. But i'm always open to something that works as well or better at a better price.

That enought light?
I reckon? I got a thousand watt sitting on standby, was going to let them get started a little bit before I drop that down on them though. Think I should go ahead and hit them with it? I am used to vegging with it with photoperiod plants, not a lot of auto experience. But I don't plan on using 24 hours, just don't like the electric bill with that schedule.. They may be going outside once they get a little more mature depending on how quick they finish and what they are looking like in a few weeks. Got to sex the stuff in the 1 gallon pots. They are going to be staying in the room for sure so they may push the autos outside.

The two in the rear are the Heisenberg Specials and the two in the front are Professor Paul Major Medic. Very slow going so far but the weather here has ranged from the low 40's to the upper 70's. I disconnected my heaters because i am building a larger room (also assumed the weather would be more stable by now) I think once i get the space builded out and place them in a more controlled setting they will take off.IMG_20160315_174547.jpg
