Only problem you got on there is that your plants are fish scale x fish scale ..... and the cookies variety is gelati x the menthol ..... I Dno if the seeds you bought are s1 self onto itself or if they've reversed it doesn't give you the proper breeding of how they got to produce the seeds but they won't know unless they're on this forum I Dno how to word that the best @conor c will know how to break it down better than me

Yeah they are S1's they are mate. I remember when I bought them a few years back they were listed as Fish scale S1. Gelatti is a cookies strain and the menthol is a compound genetics strain. They did a collab back in 2021 and the strain came first place in the Emerald Triangle cannbis cup in California if I remember correctly. At this point people lump the cookie hybrids in with cookies anyway as the cookies brand sells both bud but actual straight gsc is an unknown as far as the full lineage goes they say it contains that Durban cut that isn't a Durban in any way shape or form and some og kush in there somewhere too it's a bagseed wonder no breeding involved there's probably in reality cherry pie kush is in there too I've heard many say as well and as far as fishscale goes I reckon they made a cross found a cut they liked s1d it and that's the seeds they sell I imagine it be one cutting of it onto another as that's the better way of doing it if your going the fem route

Here's the full genetic lineage of Fish scale. I'm guessing the Superskunk and Skunk#1 in the genetics is why it's so stinky? I mean it does smell like the original Superskunk too which I like about it. I heard the original Superskunk strain is really difficult to get ahold of now? It smells that much even my 6 inch Mountain air Carbon filter is struggling to scrub the smell lol. It's got a bunch of different types of Gelato in the lineage as well which is why it must produce those rock hard dense nugs too.

It's the most stinkiest weed I have ever smelled, I remember when I last grew it a few years ago and 1 spliff stunk the whole house out lol

I've taken a few cuts aswell they're looking good.

It doesn't make a good substitute for either parent tbh but it's a nice smoke nonetheless, some character from each but more blockbuster like than exo.

Yeah it might take several rounds of bxing before it's closer hell you got the cut if you have two separate crosses of it and you were so inclined you could inbreed those 2 separately selecting to the exo side in both and cross it back to the clone after a good few gens like say at f5 then combine those two lines and you could have your own cheesy recombinant inbred line tis probably the best way to actually lock her proper into seed form and keeping some vigour pretty much like what tony green did with gg4 don't get me wrong it is alot of work but no company seems to be trying it yet then again maybe that is why anyway that looks like some nice bud mate

I'm not sure how I'd go about it tbh, I've exo/bb seeds, so I'd grow them selecting the ones with exo traits and breed those back to the exo mum... then rinse and repeat that.
Is that correct?

Yeah bud you inbreed the two sister lines selecting for the exo traits till say f5 then bx them separately back to the clone then you would cross those two lines together and your sorted pretty much IL try and find a chart that illustrates what I mean later on bud sure reversing might be worth it just hard and can vary in results with a ril you should be able to keep the best of both worlds close to the mum yet more vigour than a s1 plus it be in reg seeds so gives you more options as well bud

I'm going to chop my plants soon. It's week 9 (day 63) on Friday and I'm going to take them until sunday (day 65). I'm going to flush from now until Saturday and chop sunday morning because I'm sure the one plant has too much nitrogen and that's what's causing the foxtailing so I'm just gonna flush them to try and get rid of the excess nitrogen. And because I'm fed up of mixing A&B and PH'ing the water everday lol. I'm also running lower temps to try and bring out more Purple in them and to prevent any heat stress which could also be causing the slight foxtailing.

I don't agree with the recomended method of flushing but I don't think finishing with water is such a bad thing?

It seems logical whatever is in/around the roots before cutting is going to be in/around the plants vascular system, I've tested that it is the case...the uptake travelling through the system it's not been metabolised, in physics water evaporates leaving all mineral behind so it's seem logical no ec mineral no remaining mineral left behind.

Tbh I've cut plenty testers from plants and never thought eewe! that needs flushed but tbf a tester cut from a plant rarely gets much scrutiny?

I grow them until I'm satisfied they're ready then give them water for 3/4 days before harvesting, 4 days was needed when I monitored the sap ec using capillary matt, basically tapped sap and tested the ec at intervals.

I think next time I do a grow I won't bother flushing and I will go the full 10 weeks and feed 4 times a day at a lower EC. But this time I haven't got everything I need for my irrigation system. I need to get bigger reservoirs so I don't have to worry about making up new batches of feed twice a day. I'm only using small reservoirs at the minute and it's a pain in the ass making feed twice a day for them. Plus I'm pretty sure they've got some sort of nutrient lockout from uptaking too much nitrogen which I think is causing the slight foxtailing that's going on with them on the top buds so I think I would need to give them a flush to get rid of the lockout anyway. And because it's so close to the end I have decided just to flush them for the next 3 or 4 days and then harvest them. I'm fed up of smoking the stuff on the street as well. All the weed around here is filled with PGR's and pesticides so I need to get these plants chopped down a,s,a,p so I don't have to keep smoking the moldy PGR pesticide weed off the street. I flushed them about an hour ago and when I checked the EC it's coming out pretty high so there is defo something going on with them. I think it must be a build up of salts because I'm not feeding them 4 times per day.
