The smallest plant grown horizontally?

Yea I agree it would be much better if you research first, and get a good idea of how to grow marijuana, you shouldnt need to be asking questions every 5 minutes if you have done research you will know the answers already and have a much greater chance of actually being able to grow YOUR plant, we can't grow your plant for you. But if you hit a snag and can't find the solution yourself, thats when you ask questions.
yeah thats a good point, sorry about that. Ive read quite a bit about it but i have yet to come across heaps of information on tiny grow boxes so i assume the circumstances are different as far as growing, because of this i was asking a bunch of questions, as this is my first grow and you are all pros or at best, better than me.. so i was just hoping u guys could give me lots of input on this type of grow, and i would use a little bit of everything hopefully getting my own style of growing in this tiny box in the process. after al, smoke a man up an hell get high, teach a man to grow good bud and hell live happily ever after, or end up in prison.. havent figured out the ending yet

welcome to RIU I enjoyed reading all the posts and comments, and think your a crafty as hell, too crafty to built something that small. I think you need to think outside the box. I've seen people grow in confined spaces like yours, and have been sucessfull. So as you know it can be done, the thing about it is you have to be knowledgable about the subject b/c you only have one chance with one plant ya know. Have you thought of cloning and going to soil and placing pots outside somewhere?

outdoor growing isn't an option for me right now, its snowing pretty heavily over here hahah.
and plus i live in a condo place that is 90% kid and 10% assholes, so someone is bound to find the thing

that box looks better. dont let anyone get you down. fun little micro grows are nice to do. lets see what you can do with that small area. you really do need to work on the lighting though, like said that little bulb aint gonna do shit for you bro. get a y splitter and 2 26w bulbs. might run you $6 at the most. come on bro, you got put something into it to get something out of it.

You know what JD? I think that a passion to grow is likely the most important thing to being successful. I can sense that passion and determintion. I think you have a very good chance of growing some dank budz. Prolly a lot better than people who don't bother to research and buy everything under the sun. The hydro stores love them! Unfortunately they kill plant after plant and wonder why....I think you'll be just fine +REP.

ouch, I wouldnt go there. i can get them for 1.25 each from 3 different stores around me. try local hardware stores and places like fleet farm and walmart. should be able to find a decent price on them.
but if i get the y-splitter, should i still hang the lights horizontally? someone mentioned this, and the idea of having more space sounds pretty swell:)

a y splitter would make them hang pretty much horizontally. i'll get a few example pics.(note, these are all pics found using google search for the purpose of helping him visualize what i mean. im in no way connected to the pics in any way and all credit goes to the original photographers)
here is a good one, i'd use it in your grow area with 26w cfls. 6 of them total but even using 4 instead of just 2 would double your lighting so would be worthwhile to consider
.

heres some others

I've done side training and it works well, but eventually all the shoots will start growing up. My girls dense after a 5 week veg using the main shoot in a circle method are stretching about 8 inches above the pot rim, this is with a 100% indica strain under perfect non stretchy environmental conditions.
i like this idea
