The smallest plant grown horizontally?

Does anyone know how small its actually possible to grow with still a decent yield? like if you had a small grow box (Like me), would it be possible to train the plant like all around the box in every way, shape and form and still get some decent bud on it?

I've done side training and it works well, but eventually all the shoots will start growing up. My girls dense after a 5 week veg using the main shoot in a circle method are stretching about 8 inches above the pot rim, this is with a 100% indica strain under perfect non stretchy environmental conditions.

Pie Pans? Plan 9 From Outer Space Grow? LOL! JK OP.

Sorry to tell you this dude but in that much space with that much light, you can do a seedling experiment...not much more. Valiant attempt though. i wish i could give you more cheery news.

OK, that was a bit harsh...I apologize, I am pretty tired and stoned. But anyway, youobviously know something about construction. Go bigger, more light, and mylar. Best of luck!

w/some improvements(the ones we discussed on your other thread. also should of asked what watt that bulb is. i wouldnt go with bulbs below 26w maybe 23w if its the best you can find.) i could see an 1/8 out of there. proper lsting will be crucial though. thats what i would consider a decent harvest with the area provided.

Hey man don't hate the reflector, I happen to be using one! Lol put some foil tape on there and bam, a beastly light reflector! :)

Haha. I'm so cheap..

To OP, I started out in the same situation as you, I ended up wastng a few seeds because I didn't have the space or light to complete a grow. I did however use those experiences to learn how to keep it growing and healthy and I'm happy to say that those seeds helped me. so you can use this box to grow a plant for about a month, then you'll be stuck without a bigger space/more light. Practice with schwag if you can't upgrade right away, you won't regret it later.

hahaha you guys crack me up

but yeah, after all these comments i think I'm going to try to build a better one. but the thing about me is i don't really have a lot of cash so i pretty much like to improvise.. as for the box it was the best box i could find ( my gf happened to order something in the mail and i saw the box like dudddee, thats mine) hahah, but yeah i saw to use a pie reflector on a youtube video and i thought the more reflection, the better, right? and for the bulb, i have no idea what it is, i think its a 60 watt or something like that even thought the side says 17w but thats definitely not a 17 w as far as i know.. and I'm not looking to grow pounds of marijuana. I mean i wouldn't hate it haha but i have to be realistic (maybe even a little hopeful with this box hahah) but i was just thinking i could get a tiny plant going in there, and bend it all around and try to get it basically as thick as i can get it, and when its about to burst out of the box ill try to harvest it and see how much i get. It was a bummer to find all the things to built this out of BTW hahah i had to borrow bits and pieces from people in my family, now i have everyone in my family believing I'm growing strawberries/ hatching chickens hahahaha

but for the stealth part: my closet is very small, this box fits perfect behind my clothes etc, but i could see how it could get bigger. this is really my only light though so i how big of a box could i use before the light needs to be doubled with another one? i mentioned on another post that i also installed that pc fan there, with out the pc fan and just the CFL cooking in there it stays at a steady 84F degrees, with the fan it stays at 74F... (just some more info for you guys) but i really want everyone here to walk me through this entire grow. This site is going to be my Go-to for everything, so as soon as i started growing ill be on here every hour asking you guys for help (thanks by the way for everyone whose already helped me ) but to wrap it up... should i go find a bigger box in my house somewhere? or do u think i can salvage this one?

HMMM I am sensing due to the need to keep it small and hidden, you have people living with you that would not be so sympathetic?

As much as a lot of us really love helping other's you best chance of success in this hobby is to read, study, plan, and act. There is tons of great info and great people on RIU. "walking you through your grow" is not going to help you learn to do this. Everyone has their own ways and style. Each grower is as unique as the plants he or she is growing. Besides when you are smoking your budz, do you really want to praise everyone here or yourself for a job well done?

I am certainly not suggesting never asking questions, most of us really enjoy helping new growers. But if you take the suggestion you will be able to ask pertinent questions on your first SUCCESSFUL grow.

In the Newbie Central Forum you will see a sticky called Grow Videos It is a thread of several 'How To' instructionals for 1st timers and experienced alike. All done by master growers. Great info to be found there.

BEST OF LUCK!

lol

Get a bit of a bigger(taller) box and rig it with 4 of those lights instead of the 1. Get an autoflowering strain and you won't need to buy a timer. a box 2 feet high could work if you LST the plant.
buy 3 more CFL's like that one, should cost about 15 dollars. and 3 Y sockets, you plug in one Y into the 1 socket you have that gives you 2 sockets then you plug the other 2 Y's into the two sockets, now you have 4 sockets, make sure you lamp can handle the 92watts so you dont start a fire.

Yea I agree it would be much better if you research first, and get a good idea of how to grow marijuana, you shouldnt need to be asking questions every 5 minutes if you have done research you will know the answers already and have a much greater chance of actually being able to grow YOUR plant, we can't grow your plant for you. But if you hit a snag and can't find the solution yourself, thats when you ask questions.

DSC00091.jpgDSC00092.jpg Check this out, new box.. i spent hours on this just now, and its made out of 2 beer boxes, (the actual box being an 18 rack of miller high life heh heh) and i turned the pc fan around as one of you suggested so now its an exhaust fan.. ill make a "passive" intake as he said. the light is still the same until i can buy a Y-splitter and another bulb, and there is still foil on it, i don't have the mylar yet. and for the grow i think I'm gonna start it out at 12/12 and LST it and see where that goes, i have more room now so that should get me a little more yield. What do you guys think of this one? as before i have the axe deodorant there for comparison
