The political climate throughout the country and in much of the world is a shambles. RIU reflects it.

It is hard to "respect" a perspective based on the narrative pushed by the usual suspects - Limbaugh, Hannity, Fox and Friends, etc., etc., etc.. No, it is impossible if you have any sense of decency. Maybe you should lower your expectations on the kind of debate going on in society.

I know you may not see it this way, but pretty much every corner of the Internet has some asshole pushing the Trump line and repeating his 3000 lies (so far). Their numbers don't make them credible, they are 100% full of shit. Do we attack them? Yup. Yes, we do.

I know you and Buck have developed an epic dislike for each other. But Buck could decide to go off the grid tomorrow and not a lot would change in regard to RIU. There's a war on. Somebody is going to be attacking.

Is there any chance of you and Buck reaching a different place than you are now in? I'm not really sure what started this but I doubt it matters. Could it be possible for the two of you to step back to mutual dislike? It kind of seems like the running fight has lost a lot of steam lately.

There are likely many of your views that I would disagree with, but I have a feeling that there might be a pretty big difference between you and the typical Trumper. If that is the case, let's talk.

Hey @UncleBuck , are you at all up for the possibility of some sort of rapprochement between you two? I don't expect that the two of you will ever be friends but there might be some middle ground. I would like you both to comsider entering into pledge to mutually respect each other's right to exist.

@MichiganMedGrower does not seem like the spawn of satan to me. There are a dozen or users here that are totally worth your ire but I am not sure if he is one of those. He's been here a while, has no known sock puppets and seems to have a brain in his head which distinguishes him from a great many.
MiMed is getting the respect he deserves.

If you read his posts three things stand out.

Never did anything and is sucking up resources all the while claiming he's not. As if there were anything wrong with being on public assistance. A walking case of arrested development.

He's yet another racially insecure white man who can be relied upon to turn on others when his white entitlement is threatened.

He's a complete fuck up but every instance where he fucked up he claims it was somebody else's fault.

Couple that with not having anything interesting, nothing perceptive or useful to say which is why I have him on ignore. He doesn't really talk politics in the politics forum, it's always about him and how Buck hurts his feelz. He's just basically a bad vibe who adds nothing that rolli allows to post here.

that counts as the russians directly influencing the election
Incorrect.

The money wasn't sent until January of 2017 after the election took place.

However, that doesn't let Trump out of the woods over it. If they can prove that money was used to pay Stormy Daniels on Trump's behalf, then Trump could be guilty of receiving money from a foreign power by proxy.

The other big question is: what happened to the other 370,000 dollars they sent?

Russia is happy to sell China all the oil and natural gas they want, even shipping less west to Europe.
That, and the Russians are building a multi-million dollar pipeline to China specifically for that purpose. They (Russia) will not have to stop or lower shipments to Europe at all. Russia has more oil and gas than you can shake a stick at.

All true, and yet Russian natural gas shipments to Europe are down this winter from previous years. Might be a blip, might be a trend.

The US is building natural gas terminals to ship it to Europe. The scale is large, so maybe that has something to do with the current posturing towards Russia; just trying to steal market share?

You're as thick as two short planks, aren't you?

The reason it's down is because of the situation in the Ukraine. A huge percentage of natural gas to Europe ran through there and has now been cut off. Russia is, along with help from Norway, building a new pipeline in the North Sea to increase that output once again.

If you actually read half as much as you post, you'd know things like this and look less a fool.
