The political climate throughout the country and in much of the world is a shambles. RIU reflects it.

It is hard to "respect" a perspective based on the narrative pushed by the usual suspects - Limbaugh, Hannity, Fox and Friends, etc., etc., etc.. No, it is impossible if you have any sense of decency. Maybe you should lower your expectations on the kind of debate going on in society.

I know you may not see it this way, but pretty much every corner of the Internet has some asshole pushing the Trump line and repeating his 3000 lies (so far). Their numbers don't make them credible, they are 100% full of shit. Do we attack them? Yup. Yes, we do.

I know you and Buck have developed an epic dislike for each other. But Buck could decide to go off the grid tomorrow and not a lot would change in regard to RIU. There's a war on. Somebody is going to be attacking.

Is there any chance of you and Buck reaching a different place than you are now in? I'm not really sure what started this but I doubt it matters. Could it be possible for the two of you to step back to mutual dislike? It kind of seems like the running fight has lost a lot of steam lately.

There are likely many of your views that I would disagree with, but I have a feeling that there might be a pretty big difference between you and the typical Trumper. If that is the case, let's talk.

Hey @UncleBuck , are you at all up for the possibility of some sort of rapprochement between you two? I don't expect that the two of you will ever be friends but there might be some middle ground. I would like you both to comsider entering into pledge to mutually respect each other's right to exist.

@MichiganMedGrower does not seem like the spawn of satan to me. There are a dozen or users here that are totally worth your ire but I am not sure if he is one of those. He's been here a while, has no known sock puppets and seems to have a brain in his head which distinguishes him from a great many.

I am surely no kind of trumper as you put it. And I did not instigate with buck in the first place. My initial post to him was in humor and agreement.

He perpetuates nasty lies about me. I only played his childish game with him. He took it too far very quickly. And it seems most agree with my assertions about him on a few websites.

I would have posted very differently with my time here if he had been remotely decent.

Why does it matter that they get on? A lot of very entertaining material comes from the relationship, which is forming beautifully, imo.
