On the Fox show Red Eye, On the day that 4 Canadian bodies were being repatriated these moral right panelist's decided to ridicule the Canada population and soldiers.... Their statements were beyond any human compassion or sense of common decency...

To insult brother soldiers as they fight and die to help protect their US neighbors only goes to prove the low moral standard that the Republican party choses in their spokespersons... The Coulter's, Limbaugh's and that tripe Fox channel prove the lowest common denominator is speaking for the Republicans with their blessings...

I hope that Canada pulls their troops out, and the US wonders why they get no help from other UN forces.... To what end...scorn and ridicule from a group that claim to have a religious fiber....
The US always seems to prove their disdain for all but themselves, all while wondering why they're hated world wide.....

Exactly. The republicans in general have no clue about world views. They are so self centered and jingoistic that anything that hasppens outside America is insignificant, after all, America rules. That type of jingoism is what the Bush white house revelled in. I hope a new age is upon us where we view world opinion as something to learn from and to become once again a part of the world community. The Bush regime has destroyed our beacon of light view held for hundreds of years previously. Maybe Obama can retrieve it. BTW, one death, no matter from what country is a sign that war is an evil scourge, I am saddened to hear our Canadian brothers are dying in this un-necessary war and for the life of me can't figure out why Obama is being led into this abyss which is Afghanistan. No country in recent history has ever defeated these Pashtun tribes men. It's hard to defeat an enemy that thinks dying is an honor and they will be rewarded in heaven, especially when their earthly existence is so pitiful. I hope Obama and company wake the fuck up about this endeavor sooner than later.

Thanks for getting it... I have some of my own friends that are there and these asses didn't mention that some of these guys are on their 4th tours in a war thats in our detriment to fight...... Its Canada thats been training the afghan soldiers along with fighting so that or US friends can take care of business seeing as your military is much more equipped.. Were ruining our own army to help and this is what we get in return for our blood......

I am stunned at the lack of any apologies from either side because they don't want the scorn of the talking heads......

So, you guys are condemning an entire party and tens of millions of conservatives because of what someone said on a stupid, late night comedy show? :roll:

Is it just me, or do liberals really have skin that thin?

And by the way ... would one of you Yokels please define what you mean by "Right Wing?" I mean, if someone has conservative ... and I mean truly conservative values that entail a desire for a smaller, less intrusive federal government, lower taxes on income and more reliance on personal responsibility, does that make one a "Right Winger" in your eyes?

PS: And I think Red Eye is a very stupid show. Those people on there are not conservatives in the classic sense at all.

Actually Fox calls itself a right wing station so ask them.... and its not liberials that are thin skinned.... its citizens of Canada that are loosing their children to help the US and being ridiculed while they die....... this has nothing to do with liberial... it does with the conservative mouthpiece that is Fox...

there are some here who's loved ones are fighting and God forbid dying.. what if I joke about that.. or laugh at 9-11 deaths, all the cripples who'll now not have to work......

a conservative like myself, who has been against the war from day 1,
might ask why congress hasn't ended this war as promised when voted in?
4 tours of duty? sounds like a shortage of soldiers while congress funds a war.(or 2)
I'm having a slight issue determining the hero from the enemy, any help?

Ended the war...?? didn't you see Cheney badmouthing Obama because he said he wanted to, it'll be the end of the world... Your party speaks with talking heads and bitter old men... I believe that a lot of Republicans didn't want the war but if they didn't tow the party line the wrath of the parties talking heads would be brutal...... look at they way they're targeting McCains daughter now...decent isn't tolerated.... sounds more like China every day......... Mao.. Mao...

Well, I'd chalk up the out-of-line comments to stupidity and not to conservatism. Other than what was said on Red Eye, I've not heard any disparaging remarks about the Canadian military at all ... and I know a LOT of conservatives. Also, I'm an avid reader of conservative publications and have not read even one word of criticism toward the Canadian military either. In fact, the only negative remarks I've ever heard or read regarding the military have come out of the pens and mouths of liberals.

So, bottom line ... let the stupid, insensitive remarks made on Red Eye stand as just that ... stupid and insensitive remarks. :)

There was a similar remark made last year saying they (Canadians) lacked professionalism... and a few years ago I saw a congressman say when asked about the water shortage that they'd take water from Canadian waterways and his quote was "What can they do about it, attack us..?" I know these are random quotes but in the entirety they show a pattern of utter disrespect...... look at Bush when he came to power he went to Mexico 1st.. not the biggest trade partner and the 2nd biggest supplier of oil, Mexico, supplier of the drugs and illegals.... and just today a border guard turned away a businessman ranting something about taking US jobs.... There will be a point where this dog won't take anymore kicking..

Its been a bit longer then 8 weeks into a democratic congress.

we could have simply voted on airline tickets or sent every airline we have in this country and pull everyone out over a weekend.-dennis kucinich.(not quoted word for word tho)
Other outspoken democrats that I support like mike gravel, has chastise his own party on this subject.
I can't name one party(from indy to green) that hasn't chastised the democratic congress for not ending this war.
...hell, it was the democrats who blocked any bush impeachment that was called for, by kucinich.
and you can tell who the enemy is?

I agree totally with your contempt with congress... I don't really distinguish parties there.. they are fat cats ensconced in their jobs and they play a game to keep themselves employed...like I've said before..term limits.......

Thanks for that natrone... I'd just remind the nay sayers that our military was/is one of the best in the world and without all the toys that some have... How many European cities celebrate the US armies every year with parades and holidays......... ? Holland still blankets our capitol every year in tulips.........
