the RIGHT WAY to d an attic grow!!!

Hey, the seedlings are looking great and the room is coming along nicely. Sorry I might have missed this, but where are you exausting everything to?
 
Have you thought about getting a water tank or some 44's to collect rainwater? Australia is dry as all fuck. Most places outside the cities have water tanks for gardens or drinking water. Its a lot easier than digging a well and its costs jack shit to set up. Running 5 gals of water 100ft would be good weight training though.

I'm a good ol fashion farm boy!! aint shit for me!! i tend to this garden and my legal one !! LOL and 4 acres of land and trees!! i work bout 16-18 hrs a day on average !!

gotta still install the 2 bathroom exhaust fans thru the dry wall!! got the wire waiting on me but just doin it as i can!! all the girls will be outside growers!! and i have a kick ass exhaust fan already for the attic itself!! so the temps stay bout 80ish in the sun right noww at peak and get to bout 60ish at night but the lil girls have a heater by them and a heat pad so there nice n comfy!!
 
haha 4 acres here, partially wooded 60/40 w/ mature hardwoods... and exactly 5480 feet of edging/weed whacking. and a pool. and a1000 sq ft stained deck
3 outbuildings... gravel drive on a slope. 4 years of neglect... i found kudzu in the back of the property :( good lord i am a busy mofo this year :lol:

just this year!!?? fuk its every for me !! always cutting trees or limbs that fell from winter or mowinf every fucking two days in the first part of springt or rollin the yard from moles and the god damn list goes on and on !!!
.......oh yea plus beer drinkin and bon fires ritually in the summer/fall time!!

What were you planning on doing light wise? With the amount of ventilation up there, there would be room for several thousand watts of lighting even more with cool tubes.
 
i'm runnin 2 x 400watt CMH's for the flowerin room and flouro's and cfl for veggin'! waitin for some R.O.I before I up the veg room with good lightin!! I"m Illegal as fuck so cant have too much wattage!! LOL

Ive got some seedlings started (pics a few pages back) and its all dank home grown! like to keep it on the down lo so I dont order seeds!!
 
I can't believe I missed the seedlings. I posted right after the pic. dur I'm running a 400w hps & a 400w mh and about 100w of CFL without any power worries. Now that I've changed over to gas heating and CFL lighting in the house my electricity is now cheaper than before I started growing. I've been told to be careful of growing on off peak power though. Supposedly its a good way to get busted growing.
 
Looking good man, wish I could do an attic set up at my place but my attic sucks, it's split into two small sections instead of one big one across the whole house.

I have to agree with those who said to run a water line up there. Especially if you plan to go hydro in the future. I run a hydro garden in my basement and I don't have a water line down there. It REALLY is a pain in the ass hauling so much water all the time up and down stairs. And I'm only running 4 5 gallon buckets. From the dimensions you've given I'm guessing you'll be needing about 2x as much water as I am using.

All in all looks really good though. Can't wait to see this setup in action. + rep
 
Hello, looking good. Just IMO power consumption doesn't raise any red flags. The power company is like any other business, PROFIT. You pay your bills on time and they are happy. My buddy is an executive at a power company and he told me that if they could get all homes running 20,000+ watt grows and paying their bills on time his check would be bigger come Christmas bonus time. Like I said though IMO.
 
Thx guys!! It a work of LOVE fo sho! If I could quit gettin MF'rs to bring there bikes to get worked on I might get it done a lil sooner LOL but I guess thats how I'm footin the bill !! Oh the lesser of 2 evils!! I'll b postin more pics tonite and hopefully she'll be completely enclosed and just have to do the exhaust and hangin lights!!
 
yea I'll post them 2 mara and get some pics of the room for everyone!! they just hit overdrive on me and Ive jus been so god damn busy that im barely gettin sleep!! leavin for China in 2 weeks and jus tryin to get everyones shit done!! LOL
