if you use the entire house and garden line you, it is designed to give the plans everything they need at each stage of growth . as far as switching to house and garden during flower i would say that that would be fine .
yes that is definatly true i am currently doing my first run with house an gardens and i absolutly love it very easy to use just follow the feeding chart and you will be set i cant wait to see how they turn out and how the final product compares to my first grow

No alchemists around here sell that line..
do you have any idea what alchemy is. it doesnt sound like you have a clue what it is. lol has nothing to do with plants whatsoever. alchemists were people who tried to make gold by combining gold`s natural ingredients in the PERFECT ratio. They also made other metals (I think by accident) but gold was the main focus. No one has been successful obviously. One thing not very many people know is that Newton was actually an alchemist.

probably the temp change?
if your ph/ec meter doesnt adjust for temp. then i think that will give you different readings at different temps.

light, combined with nutrients and water may cause algae but if you arent getting algae then i dont THINK it would cause any changes in ph/ec.

also here is a chart that may help if you recycle your feed water:

Basic cheat sheet:
Ec goes up, PH goes down=plants require less nutes.
Ec goes down, PH goes up=Plants require more nutes
Ec stable, PH goes up=Equilibrium=Good thang.

the chart doesnt seem to apply in this situation but its good to have.
Ok this chart has been great but right now i am running into somthing different.

Everything is going down.
PPM - 608 - 310
ECorTDS - 1224 - 620
PH - 5.8 - 4.7
other plant
PPM - 608 - 345
ECorTDS - 1224 - 660
PH - 5.8 - 5.2

Crazy shit, not to sure whtas going on any help would be great.

One of my plants is not looking to good might be to much nutes(but my numbers are dropping) or a mag problem.

Link in sig.

I think you should still be raising your EC anytime it drops that much...

What medium are you using? Recycling your nutes? or drain to waste?

I am raising it back up to the chart. The EC is 1280
Using RO water kinda lmao ro water is supposed to be 0 ppms right mine goes from 100 to 200 depending on what i test the water in. Yes i clean all my meters water testing containers.

Got some clones from a clinic in rockwool then put them into orchid pellets. Using Waterfarms and changing the water out every week now every three/four days when the tanks are almost empty.

Going to be posting a new update in my grow thread and will give you a good idea of what the plant looks like and some more info on her.

Thanks for your help Jberry!!

JBerry,

Where did you find this info at man? I must have missed this post, but am glad I caught it now. I have noticed my EC or ppms staying the same and the ph has been rising. I would love to know more about this chart.
I had another question you may know the answer to. The House and Garden Site says to add Budxl during the 4th week, but also says add when the first buds start forming. Now I don't know about you, but my buds start at about 10-14 days. So does this mean I should start the budxl early? I have always waited until 4th week, but have been thinking maybe I should start it earlier. When do you start the Budxl?
The only other part of h&g that I don't really understand because it isn't on any charts. The Algen extact. I have been using it during entire 6 week veg and the plants do seem much more vigorous than when I didn't use it, but I would love to know when it is supposed to be used.
Anyway, I figured maybe Jberry would know the answers to this shit since I know you have been to the house and garden expo before and talked to these guys in person. ;)

H&G is the best ever people! I have used their soil line for one cycle now and have noticed a HUGE dif from my old nutes. I used Advenced before and will not touch it ever again. I used to get around 3z's from a 3ft plant with them..... I tried the ROOT EXCEL from H&G and it was great... SO I did a side by side test with the H&G and Advanced... Everything the same I received 5oz's from the H&G..... This is the best product on the market from what I can tell... YEAH H&G!!!!!

This is good to hear. Thanks for sharing your side by side results. You just saved me the time of doing it myself. I have been using H&G for a year now with great results, but the guys at the hydro shop keep pushing AN and I saw the AN nutrient competition on line that puts AN up against 5 other nute lines. I am sure that AN had some infuence on the results. So anyway, I have thought of doing my own side by side, but I figure why mess with something that works.

Yup H&G is great.... All in all way easier to use than AN. They have a ridculous amount of shit on the market and half of it is imposible to tell if it makes a differnece.... I am a FIRM believer in H&G.

All hail A&G!!!

thank you for the information on the bud xl and the Algen extract. i really like that algen extract in veg. I started the bud xl a few days early this time, but I am thinking I'll start even earlier next run. So do you run the shooting powder and bud xl all the way through your flush or stop right before you flush?

I usually run a 25% nute solution during first 4 days and the another 3 with water during flush. Supposedly you can run the bud xl and shooting powder through the flush, but I haven't tried it.
