We are all victims of the munchies here.

I used to be pretty lean, and I'm tired of this extra 15-20 pounds of flab i've acquired the past year.

Starting this morning, i'm back on my strict diet of low fat, low carb, low sodium, and accurate water intake. Regular piss and shit movements, a small workout regiment on top of my chiropractor workouts 3 times a week.

Who's with me? Cmon guys, it is a new year ;-)

P90X is no fucking joke. If you can stick with the diet and workouts I have no doubt that you will be shredded in a three months. Their shake is fantastic. A little low in protein for me so I add two egg whites. The menu is incredible.

P90X is the real deal but you better be ready to live around your work out. Lots of time spent on buying and making the right food...plus the work outs. Good luck.

The word "diet" to me means something different to me than it does to most others. A diet in my mind is a sustainable lifestyle regarding how and what you eat. Too often we associate diets as something temporary when in fact it shouldn't be temporary. The reason many have temporary diets is that they are unsustainable. Atkins, starvation, water diets, and so on...these are not sustainable diets. You cannot eat or live like that forever.

My wife and I are in great shape. My wife is Brazilian and a size zero. She's also 10 years older than me at age 43. She's still super hot. People gasp when they hear she's on a diet. This is because they are usually overweight and only think of diets as a crash to achieve certain goals. Not realizing a diet is a life long system on how to eat.

Take all the diet books and throw them out the window. If you want to lose weight you have to do two very simple things. Eat right and excercise. Not excercising slows the process and you won't be as fit. But you can lose weight by proper dieting.

Here is the scientific formula for losing weight...are you ready? Here it comes!

Burn more calories than you eat in a day and you will lose weight.

Ta da! There it is folks. Your body is a machine. Feed it less calories then you burn in a day and watch the weight fall off. Generally speaking in order to lose weight at a higher rate you want a 500cal defficiency.
F

igure out how many calories you burn in a day and make sure you take in 500 less calories then you burn. This is where weighing your food and protein shakes come in. Then you know what your intake is.

Run 4 miles 2-3 times a week and you will lose a ton of weight. This is what I do but have never been overweight so I know its hard to get started. I also lift for an hour before I run, switching muscle groups everyday. During summer I usually eat very healthy, lots of chicken, fish, pork ect. You really can make alot of healthy meals that taste great. Smoking usually does put a damper on my workouts though. Im off to the gym, goodluck!

I smoke a half pack a day plus a good deal of bud and can still run 6+ miles. So if I can do it anyone can!

For awhile I was eating meals twice a day.... I don't eat breakfast... N still munchin but around night time I would do a 20-30min cardio and do push ups sit ups stretches for like a few mins... Also on the weekends I dint workout but I'd try not to pig out alot n if I munched out late I'd eat small or eat a fruit or vegetable with ranch... It wasn't that bad... Worked when I was doin it lol.... But I dint cut down on my meals ... My cardio was shadow fighting and workin a punching bag.... But any workout would be good... It kinda sucked to burn one after n get munchies & Could only eat small at night but I got used to it...

Hit it right on the head. Dieting and healthy living is a life long thing.

Me on the other hand, I work out every day through a physical job and actually working out. But stiill probably 25-30 lbs overweight. I drink too much and I love cooking and eating good food. You wouldn't trust a skinny chef would you?

I want to get back on a diet but i need to kick it in high gear first..

I once weighed 198 pounds[ I'm not a tall dude] I started going to the gym religiously. I would wake up @ 4:30 am and be there by 5.
I would start off by sitting in the sauna and stretching, then move on to the treamill to run my 4.5 miles set a 5.2 mph. The i would work my way down to the weight room and rip thru it. I lost over 38 pounds in 2.5 months..

with that said, i never felt better then when i took strict care of my body, I was lean but not ripped. I had energy to last me thru the day and fall asleep after packing a bowl and drinking a few brews..

I need to get back to it..

lmao, u guys are right, i just smoked a bowl and now im being a bum. Smoking after working out is a WAY better high, cause you have endorphins that are released when you do strenuous exercise. So it like having 2 highs at once!

I had the hardest time losing weight, and it seemed nothing worked and I was starving.

Then I heard about the "Viagra Diet", I couldn't believe it, it really worked. Now when I look down at the scale I can actually see my dick.

If used with a moderate amount of sex, 1/2 a Viagra burns at least 400 calories. Or 2800 calories a week, almost a pound. But really almost 2 pounds, one for you and one for your partner.

Lose weight now, ask me how!

Totally! The best highs i ever get are after intense aerobic exercise. I don't know why, maybe endorphins, but my guess is improved blood flow and lung activity. Plus jogging helps clean out my lungs; if i dont jog for a couple days, i cough more and get short on breath just after/during smoking.

I used to get high and not want to exercise, and i found the cure is a bike ride. If i ride on my bike for a while, pretty soon i want to work out. I call it "breaking through the high", and it usually only takes 15 minutes. Once i actually get up and do something easy, and get some blood flowing, the laziness disappears. The mental high and pain relief properties help me do more sets when lifting.

+1...

Don't know about other people but being stoned BEFORE working out, leads to me NOT working out. :bigjoint:
Yah... post work out it's a good "celebration" for yourself.
Getting back into it recently after a 2 month break felt good... prior to that break I was there everyday for 2 hours for the previous 8 months... I burnt my self out.

Also if you can find a cheap heavy bag and speed bag on craigslist or something they will do wonders for your cardio.Make sure to get the heaviest bag you can get not some cheap 40 pound one,And make sure to pick up a cheap pair of hand wraps and bag gloves from modells you dont want to break your wrists.Start out learning basic footwork around the heavy bag then learn how to throw punches the correct way and build up with 3 minute rounds on it from there. The speedbag is real fun once you get the hang of it but that might take awhile but it might piss your neighbors off if you live in a apartment. Also jump roping is great cardio and is also a great warm up and cooldown exercise and will improve your foot work for the heavy bag. This is what my days been consisting of since I cant go outside and jog.Even if you cant get all that stuff just get a jump rope it will do wonders for you and its so fun once you get the hang of it.Its also fun to get another pair of bag gloves and whoop your friends ass with them lol.

Running is very hard on your body. It's a great workout but the average person should probably hit the elyptical. After man years of BBall I'm stuck on one. If I run my tendons go bananas and my shin splints kick in something fierce.

It's all math so id doesnt' really matter what you're doing as long as your doing it. They do say 3500calores equals a pound. That seems to work after the burst of initial weight loss. The initial weight loss has almost no real math behind it. That water flies off and so does some muscle.

Stay away from the gimmicks. Just eat right and try to have a 500cal deficiency daily.
