Yes, I am quite a bit better off now than in 2018. Everyone's 401k should be better now than in 2018 or they need to fire their dude. Markets lost most of 2021's gains, if you fell that far then somebody is ripping you off. Gas is more expensive but that doesn't impact my vote. Personally, I haven't experienced supply chain issues, but I don't doubt they exist. Job market is more robust under biden than trump, places have been fighting for employees for a year or so now. Those aren't really issues that effect my presidential choice though. The one caveat there is that trump opted to enter the trade war with China in 2018 due to...reasons; but I do put that kind of soley at his feet (heh, soles of his feet). We can also look at that as part of the supply chain issues. The problems we face as a country all have a long history and the impacts of decisions play out long into the future.

This gun bill seems to not do a whole lot, I think trying to just sign something/anything into law is a mistake. The dems lost a talking point. They can't say Republicans aren't willing to play ball on meaningful gun reform anymore. Now, if the dems try to do something that will matter, the Republicans have a great pocket argument that they give an inch and you take a mile and that they just passed historic gun legislation.

Edit: trade war-what I am trying to say there is that the president doesn't often have that much direct impact on the stock market or the economy, I view trump as the exception in that case since he personally got involved and it was an extraordinary action. I think biden should take the heat for that .75% rate hike.

That is the question posed, do you feel better now or then, someone else also went on about everyone laughing at biden, man complete opposite take from me. I don't care much about biden, but I don't think he is an embarrassment to the nation like trump was. Trump was like the friend that didn't have anywhere to go for Thanksgiving so you invite him over and he shows your grandma his dick. I felt embarrassed for our country multiple times when he had to appear with other nations leaders, it was kind of shocking as I know he attended plenty of events previously.

Reagan would sometimes say something that made sense....sometimes. He and his prohibitionist, freedom killing wife were not very bright though. and often very hypocritical.

Regan was rather pro gun control iirc, mostly due to not thinking those fellows, or you know...reeferheads, should have them.

It is worth noting it's bizarre to see you guys breaking out Ronald Regan to back up your argument on the weed message board. Buncha dopers!

So... this G U N bill that Bidum signed today is a total waste of time
so a bi-partisan bill is a step, albeit small, in the right direction towards curbing gun violence.

and no offense, but you don't know fuck all about economics.
if your 401k is doing poorly when the DOW is hovering around 30K, you are either full of shit or your investement strategy is poor.

globally high inflation and gas prices isn't a biden problem. sorry to break the news to you.

So... now that Im up, let's "Circle back around" (thanks for the phrase former House Speaker).... How is 750M going to keep criminals from obtaining high capacity mags, guns, etc? Let's get back on track here. And you all are correct... I don't know shit about economics, so let's back off of that subject.... and I don't think I ever called anybody a clown or a retard.. that's immature.

It's more of a symbolic gesture to show school children that America truly cares about them. However due to the NRA and republicans and russia, it is just a symbolic gesture. Unfortunately school children will continue to die hunkered under their desks.

Great response.. I just feel like these “gestures” are useless. Sure, it might make some people feel better, but what’s a better …..not better, but more affective strategy? Guns aren’t going away, and neither are criminals.. it’s really an unfortunate situation we’re in. Do you fund for armed security at all schools?.. I know we had this when I lived in the Middle East. Armed guards at every entry, corner, hallway, and outside of almost every classroom.. and this was back in the 80’s. Of course we never had a problem back then, but they would step it up when we would get bomb threats.

Mags under 10 rounds are way more reliable, and don't jam the gun as much. They want to be sure your firearm functions correctly when the liberal meltdowns happen after the election.
It's about time the liberals have a meltdown after the election. We all saw the conservative meltdown after the last election. I believe the libs can do them even better. America is in freefall decline.

Are you an economist? Are you so naive as to ignored the inflation warnings in 2020? For one, we gave out billions of free money ( a good amount to fraudulent companies and Nigerians), how was that supposed to be made up? We’ve had supply chain shortages since the pandemic began, an embargo on China during the previous administration that has led to both higher prices and supply chain issues and a Russian war started that has only hurt the cost of oil.

Joe’s an idiot for sure, but to put full blame on either president is just being petty and picking sides.

Well Biden/Pelosi have been throwing trillions of dollars away.
