Do all of you guys live in big cities or something?.... it's just the way of life around here. I don't live in "constant fear" , I live my life everyday just like anybody else. Im willing to bet that I've been to more places on this planet than most of you combined. Your perception of what Im talking about is really amusing.

If it makes you feel any better, my wife has been in France signing a 2 year contract for a renewable energy company based in Marseille (been there before)... do you even know how to pronounce that city?.... to do compliance work. So, we're not oil well huggers.. although I do have investments in Big Oil at the moment, but we want to make the world a more Green energy friendly environment. She's good at her job, and this is in her wheelhouse. ..... She made her way up through Switzerland, Germany, and is in Amsterdam right now visiting the Red Light District... wish I could have gone, but we have an active grow going on right now, and I don't trust anybody to take care of the op for 2 weeks had I gone with her... We just did that trip anyways not too long ago.

No.. we only checked firearms when we went to Alaska. Europe is a no go for checking firearms. But, she has skills, and her head on a swivel. I teach her things like this. When we go out to eat, I sit facing the door, and look around for exits and make mental notes. Gotta protect my lady.

Best of luck to her. she's safer on the streets of europe than here in the US for one big reason.....they don't have a gun fetish.

You let your "lady" travel alone internationally because of your crop, but have to "protect" her when you go out to the sizzler for steaks?

Yes... i'll agree with that. That's why I don't worry too much, we've been there, so I know she's safe. There are places you don't want to wonder off to, but she knows that. She's with her new (female, and former co-worker at an energy co), boss. Does this answer your question @Justin-case ?

... and I only took a side arm to Alaska because another member on here who lives there advised me to do so because of bears. We were there for 2 weeks in an RV, and camped outside every day......It was pretty remote, so I wasn't worried about humans, .. just bears. We did see one tho!... pretty cool!
