The Main-Lining Thread

I would use string and good tape and just make big loops and tape it to the side of the bucket... After a couple weeks it kinda just "stays" there for a while.

Would you think, if I drill holes in my 3gal pots at the top, I could just run string to the plant to pull it to the left and to the right...

Can anyone else better explain this method to me;

I cut the top branch, its like a fork, I snip the middle branch and then pull the other 2 branches to the left and right, I notice the photo on page 01 shows its being pulled to the left and to the right, and then there is another branch that isnt being tied down --- how long do I usally allow this to be tied down for? What trimming would I do after this? Could you Super Crop with Mainlining or not?

I have been reading, there are over 270 pages...Please highlight what pages you want me to reference to....

What would be the huge difference if you had helped me with the questions I had ask, one way or another I'll be reading it. I didnt want to read into the post to much if, I started to dig to much & confuse my self with a lot of others opinions and questions / answers.

the branch I believe your talking about that is not tied down is just a fan leaf it will not turn in to a branch, you leave the branches tied down until they start growing straight up again, and the process just repeats itself until you have the number of main heads you want. I believe to get the full benefit of mainlining you also super crop I could be wrong maybe someone else will chime in. Usually people wont answer your question if the answer a right there I made this mistake once then I started reading more then writing. a little tip the way I read a full thread like that is I'll start by reading everything that only the thread starter wrote then I might scan through peoples questions just to make sure I don't ask something thats been asked tons of time just my 2 cents

I'm still really torn between SCROG & Super Cropping vs doing ML, but the ML seems a little complicated for me to pull off with the hydro set up...

I just had time to read through the OP posts, how do I prune to make more nodes? I noticed you mentioned you pruned it from 4 to 8, how do I do this? Thank you.

Reread it.... If when you top once you get 2 tops then if you top those 2 what do you get then what do you get if you top all of those??? You know the answer to this.

What do you mean by Top? Do you have a photo that I can look at to reference, I am more of a visual learner. I apologize, I'm 67 years old, first time grower of MJ

if its your first time growing. dont Mainline. focus on learning the growth patterns of MJ, and how to tend to your plants basic needs.

basically, its your first time, unless you've invested 500 plus dollars, be happy with a small yeild and use the knowledge you gained to improve the next grow.

Then it should be easy. The first few pages have most of what you need. Nug's results speak for themselves!

I read every page till 8, I think on 7 it had a photo but the text was yellow and couldn't make out what he was trying to pin point, does anyone mind helping me?

When it gets 5 or 6 true nodes, top it above the second true node. The first true node branches will be removed later and used for clones.

Transplant to a bigger pot and bind the top two branches apart and let their tips turn up.

Here is where it can get tricky. If you top these tips too soon it can slow down the grow and if you wait too long they get too tough and snap when you try to bend them.

Top 2 to get four - spread - let tips turn up. Now you should have the basic H-shaped manifold that directs all of the plant's root energy evenly to each branch.

At this point you can continue up to 32 tips depending on how much stretch your strain exhibits. Stretchy Sativa=more tips and compact Indica Kush=less tips.

Use a modified tomato cage to train and bind your branches - performing whatever torture you must to keep all of the branches the same height.

If you are growing in Super Soil (highly recommend), just water and watch the magic.

Nothing easier or more fun and interactive with your plants!

Cheers,
Mo

if you cant learn from the pictures alone in post three, the simple answer is you need to go pop some beans and figure out what a marijuana plant looks like, and how it grows. Even if its all bagseed and males lol. on the mainstem there are branches . each branch is powered by big fan leaf (this is not a branch, just a leaf).

The question is, can I mainline when doing hydro? Ebb an flow system....

good lord!

What do you think?
Not many people have tried.... but I am sure you can. Shit, it's just training your plant.

Figure it out, it's not kindergarten here. No on is going to hold your dick while you pee.
