The klx Way!

I had a cut that I lost in flower when I had to go to the hospital for a bit recently. Hope to get it back sometime in the future. For my nerve pain one of the best strains so far.

What pheno was it? I had another pheno that was so frosty but didn't have the mango flavour or the yield of this one but it was still good.

I'll have to go back and look in my old thread for notes but it was not mango that's for sure. It was like a sweet spice if that makes sense. I dunno how to explain it lol like spice like Hooka spice but sweet at the same time and frost everywhere. I'll ask and get back to you but that's the flavor I remember. And man don't plan on doing shit if you smoke a good amount of that but pain free.........

haha yep thats true. I gave some people some Blue Dream and said try this, its happy smoke, can still hold a conversation etc, they went away and came back and said fuck that give us the mango haha.

I'm gonna follow along man. Transitioning to hydro myself now. I love tinkering and hydro so this could get addicting. But I'm nervous because my buffer is gone (media) lol.

Hey what are you doing with the hydroton in the fabric pots? You're not hand watering that right lol.......I'm debating whether to use my fabric or plastic nursery pots for my flower space........recirculating top feed.......? Thoughts

All my trays are flood and drain, mums, veg and flower. Cloner is Aero. Those guys are in pots cos they were from seed. Looking for mums.

I prefer plastic pots, I am just using these fabrics because I have them and to use them up but I will toss them once they are used once. Plastic easier to clean and they dry out faster between floods (less gnats).

I am sure recirc top feed will work fine. I like to flood and keep the top of any medium dry if possible but I know others top feed and swear by it.

I wanted a flood and drain but it would require larger reservoirs and for me right now with no water source in the room I didn't want to go that route. I did order a flood and drain kit though for my closet to go next to the cloner and start my veggies indoor and seeds. Thanks for the feedback you said exactly what I think that the plastic is easier. I hope I'm not over doing it with the #3's lol...........

Thats a clean little set up. Could even run zero veg SoG in that no worries although would need to stay on top of the rez, I think 7.5 gallons is about 30 litres?

I have tried to go as low maintenance as possible with my systems. Any time I see a way to save time or work I change it up. Work, family, other hobbies they all compete for time...

I hear you man the recirculating setup was a lot of planning with the help of another member here. I'm loving it so far and the growth so far from the cuts in less than a week is crazy. It will be nice after this flower run to just fill three res and do a pump and dump every now and then if needed.

Can I ask what and how you're feeding I'm just making convo and interested...........

Canna A + B as base then PK 13/14 as a boost after stretch has finished and the bud sites are formed and ready to bulk. Usually around Day 30 or so. To keep the rez crystal clear and pathogen free I dose with 10 - 15ml 50% H202 every 2-3 days.

I run the mums and veg around 500 - 600ppm and flower around 1000ppm although these SBAs are light feeders so around 750ppm for them. The OGs eat up 1000ppm all day long. This tray had both so they got 1000ppm and the SBAs complained a bit.

When using clay I flood for 5 mins every 2 hours, when using no medium I flood for 15 mins on 45 mins off.

Things often get tweaked slightly depending on season as its not a sealed room but just variations on the above. Super simple really.

Thanks for the reply. Right now i'm in hydroton and the timer is watering for 15 minutes every two hours and things are looking good will wait a bit and see if it needs tweaking.

Sounds good. My pump is way oversized so only needs 5 mins, but every 2 hours is the sweet spot for clay I reckon.

Was the Blue Dream from seed or clone? Where'd you get it and what did you think?

Interesting considering SBA and BD are closely related . . .

The BD was from a pack of HSO seed. I still have a couple. Had 2 phenos, a blueberry leaner and a haze. I liked both of them and the hazey one had gigantic yields but people didnt want it.

This SBA I have ia from Samsara seeds and is completely different. Bright orange hairs all over, more sticky and pungent sweet / rotting mango stank.

I haven't grown Blue Dream, but I've grown out a bit of SSH and its various crosses over the years and you do find the odd mango pheno. In fact, I've got a pack of M Nice "Mango" here, which is a sister plant to SSH. I'm a big fan of the original SSH. Perhaps a bigger fan of Nev's Haze. I've found with a lot of Blueberry genetics the high is pleasant, but doesn't always last that long.

I have never grown the original but SSH makes a great parent for sure. I just think this pheno is so loud that people have made up their mind that they love it before they even smoke it.

I know what you mean. Most consumers think if it stinks, it must be potent. But they don't have access to all the varieties we growers have, so they don't always appreciate the subtleties of individual strains.

haha, another circle favourite was Super Iced Grapefruit, I think it was female seeds. Same thing, loud and frosty, but unfortunately for them it was too low yield to keep around for long
