2x4 F&D tray with 100L res flooded every couple of hours with Canna Vega A&B, dosed with ~20ml 50% H2O2 every 3 days. Current keeper mums are a Dinafem OG Kush and Samsara seeds Sweet Black Angel (Black Domina x Super Silver Haze). Both loved by my circle.

They are lit by 2 x 2x2 DIY EB strip lights that run a max of ~220W each. Mostly they are run at about 50% to keep timings right.

As I do zero veg SoGs for production I need to have 24 well rooted clones ready to go precisely when the previous flower run is chopped so aero cloner it is. DIY esky version. Works a treat. Tap water only + H2O2 and if I need to keep the clones in there for extended periods for whatever reason I would run a weak veg solution so they hit the ground running when going to flower.

    I take large clones:

    Whack em in the cloner:

10 Days later they look like this and are ready to go. This is the minimum amount of roots I need for my style of SoG, More is good, less is bad.

    Time to grow some buds...

    Production SoG

A production run for me has 1 aim - to produce the most amount of buds in the shortest possible time. These tried and tested mothers that are favoured by my circle. Sometimes they are not my favourite but the people get what the people want.

This particular run is Dinafem OG Kush. 3x3 F&D tray with a 100L res and standard F&D fittings. Flood for 15 mins on 45 mins off with Canna Flores A&B and PK 13/14 for a week in the middle of flower. The lid for the tray is polycarbonate roofing cut to size with holes drilled for the 2 inch net pots. Top painted white. Clones are simply taken out of cloner and dropped straight into the lid.

    CLone 4.jpg

    Whack em all in

    Day 1a.jpg

Lower the light and get cracking. About lighting - both my 3x3 trays have 1 DIY Vero 29C array. The middle 2 cobs are on one dimmer and the outer 4 cobs on a separate dimmer. At day 1 here the light is dimmed to 250W.

    Day 1b.jpg

And this is what it looks like under the lid

Then its just a matter of checking PPMs, PH, adding H2O2, topping off and keeping an eye on things.

These lowers were all chopped over the next week

    Day 59e.jpg

    Day 63 all done

    Day 62a.jpg

And the best thing of all about growing with no medium, the clean up.

    Day 62b.jpg

Gather all the roots up into a ball, into the compost. A quick spray with H2O2 and you are good to go again

    Day 62c.jpg

Next in line is a test run. Looking for mums is my favourite thing to do. A bunch of strains here, mostly freebies but you never know...

    Day 62_1.jpg

And in the tray next door another SoG is chugging along...

Still trimming the OG run. Have I mentioned how much I hate trimming yet?

This brings us up to about a week ago. I will update this thread spazmodically and also drop the dry weight on that 400W, 3x3 SoG run when I finish trimming...

    ...about a pound ;)

Yeah people also like to have the stuff to be cut at he :makes you giddy: stage here.
I'm doing a personal grow, so quality is the most important thing. I still use some chemical fertilizer but only as a ligt supplement to the organic food.

Nice show, mate. What sort of numbers are you pulling?

I fucking hate trimming too. But some strains are better than others and yours don't look too bad in that respect.

Thanks for sharing. An ace clinic in media-less SOG growing.

*Like your clone size too. In the voice of Crocodile Dundee, "That's not a clone! Now THIS is a clone!"

Dry weight for the OG SoG - 470 grams, plus a small amount of stuff in the hash pile.

Next SoG in line, its a 50/50 mix of OG and Sweet Black Angel. I have lollipopped these so less heavy on the strip. Day 29.

Day 12 for the seedlings. The front right was a Sweet Tooth #3 but it was a male so it went to compost but I have a clone of it and it flowered super early so may use it to do a chuck at some point. These are gonna be monsters but will give them a good strip soon and see how they respond. Any potential mothers need to be able to deal with it.

    Veg 4000k/80cri Flower 3000k/90cri

With the SoGs - The OG, anything above a pound is good. For the Sweet Black Angel, can often pull 18 zips. The seedling runs are a lottery but I do prefer them in terms of interest in the grow. I will kill off a potential mum if it is a nightmare to trim. Life's too short haha.

Thanks for the thanks. No medium is awesome, anything to reduce cleaning or trimming, I am all over it!!

Go for it. The only thing with no medium is you really need a good spray of roots before transplanting. From there its same same.

aint gonna lie. it was all impressive, but when i got to the "cleanup" pic... i might have gotten a boner

Nice looking grow you have here @klx !
I too run Samsara Sweet Black Angel a lot - people just love it and she is the most reliable strain I have come across to date.

What do you have for a veg/mother area and lighting there?

Thanks for stopping in mate. Yeah the people absolutely love it, it is a crowd favourite for sure. I had 2 phenos - one was really fast finishing, like I mean 49 days fast and frosty as hell, but low yielding. The pheno I kept is so unique. It stinks, but not in a bad way, smells like dried mango so everyone is always asking me when is there gonna be more of the mango haha. When it buds, they almost look pink. I love growing it. I will have to check out more Samsara gear but I reckon it is the Black Domina mother that is the key.

Whats your pheno like? Got a link to any pics?

Veg / Mum / Clone room is about 6x6 so I have some spare room if needed but I try to keep the mums in a 2x4. I have 2 EB strip lights above it during summer but in winter I go back to my 400W HPS as it keep the room warm and helps the clones root faster. 8 strips per 2x2 light and a 200W driver, 4000k/80cri. I have them dimmed most of the time because I find I have to slow the mums down more often than not.

I would describe mine as Fuel, Sweet, Musky, with a hint of lemon peel. Kinda depends on who's opinion your asking.
