The klx Way!

Good idea, I've taken 20x 40" styrofoam insulation boards from the hardware store for these job. They are cheap and available in up to 4" thickness(at least for us). Since then I even use cutted 8x 8x 4" bricks to lift up single plants which can not keep up with the others. But of course that's not possible with plants in trays, lol! But they are sturdy and durable and would carry a 30-40gal. tray with ease.

I thought about using styrofoam for the lids for my trays but couldn't find anything close to my house.

Well, at least you can buy Botanicare trays.
Where I live they are not for sale within a 1500 kilometer range

A bit of a disappointing day in the op today. Was adding some H2O2 to my res when I saw what looked like an open male pod floating in the water. Went straight to the Girl Scout Cookie plant and started checking. Sure enough, 1 nanner, then another, then another, then another open pod with pollen.

Needless to say that plant is now compost and hopefully the damage is limited as all the nanners were down low.

But I loved that plant, almost perfect smoke for me. Oh well.

Yeah, it's sad. Sometimes these nanners have no pollen or it's infertile and cause no issues but it's always a risk to keep them.
I got the same male flower issues with my first original BlueDream(®Humboldt Seeds) I've tested these run.
But she was just a huge disappointment in many more ways, because except from the nanners she had absolutely nothing in common with the description ... except that she became a realy huge plant.
Flowers are like pearls on a string, with 5mm distance to the next and nanners at least on every 10th flower pearl! 110% sativa hermie, lol!
And since she showed the male flowers at first around week 7, the other plants could not make up for the loss.
Very annoying and even more worse if you notice it too late and the whole inventory is fertilized.:wall:

Have seen that once on a White Widow 10 years or so ago and think it's probably a kind of mutation.
Hope this was an exception and the remaining seeds will behave as promised by the breeder.

Ouch! Yours are also already on day 46 ... that loss will be probably as noticeable as mine.

Why happens that? Stress or unstable genetics?
Both can cause it but most of the time it's the genetic and occurs when the breeder for instance takes a plant to make fem. seeds that's not a 100% stable female or has the tendency to form nanners at the end of her life cycle.

Yep. I found a single seed on this plant in a previous run so I knew it was capable. Luckily this was a different tray so about day 26 for this one. The open flower I found had pollen so hooefully it was not viable :wall:

I have grown that Humboltd Blue Dream and got 2 phenos. Neither one looked like yours. One was short and more frosty and the other was huge yielding but not very potent.

Good luck with the rest of them!

Hopefully! At day 26 is a lot better than at day 46.
The main thing is the pollen was not released yet. One or two seeds does not matter.

Can you say how many are approximately from the small indika pheno? 50:50? 25:75?
With my luck I do not find one in my 5er batch...!
SuperSilverHaze which is one part of BD is a real bitch that can show lots of pheno. Probably it's her heritage/blame!

BTW,
Can I ask how strong the H2O2 is that you use and how much you take per gal.? 12%, 6% or 3%? I ofter read about 1ml/gal. but it's available in defferent strengths.
Have made a small bubble cloner yesterday ..

BC for up to 20 cuttings.jpg

Sweet cloner man, I can tell you have thought about it, with the cut hose to make it easier to get the roots out

I only had 3 fem Blue Dream seeds, they were freebies and I popped 2. One was SSH leaning and one was Blueberry. Its a small sample size but I think in a pack you will easily find the blueberry one if thats what you want!

My H2O2 is 50%. Very strong it burns your skin if it gets on you. I use about 15ml per 100L every 2 or 3 days. If I see any slime or if it is very hot in summer I use a little extra, in winter I use a little less.
