The Irish Growers Thread!

hopeing the go big myself md, at least that way i`ll save myself at least one indoor grow this year, plan is to sow three or four small gardens, so between males animals and maybe rippers (if i`m that unlucky, and i am) that i`ll still get the yeild i need to tide me over for awhile...

looking forward to them after we had that chat about them the last day you sold me on them... i`ll be peppering the plots with some lemmon haze aswell just as i love that some, tastes like sweets when its cured a little...
 
Don't really have a set time frame but its normally 4-8 clones every 1 or 2 weeks....

It's whatever space is available really... On going maintenance but a on going trickle of weed..!

Like my father says if it wasnt for bad irish luck I wouldn't have any luck. Lemon haze is amazing but its a long grow sense haze is a sativa dom, but I'm glad you are going for the hippy headband I have no worries about you loving it! As long as you get females, I had a lot of lemon haze last summer and in the jar it smelled like starburst candy and had a nice up high.
 
hahahahaha same here, i always say if i didn`t have bad luck i wouldn`t have any atall...

your bang on with the lemmon haze aswell, nice smell and great high, i`ve a good feeling about the hippie, so even a 50% fem rate still gives me 5 girls, and if i can manage to clone them the skys the limit, although my sucess rate with clones is bad again i have a good feeling this time it`ll work in my favor..
 
@AE: Man I wish you all the luck and if you don't already know you can buy cloning hormones that you dip the end of the cutting in and put it in something like rapid rooters which looks like little soil cubes or circles and you can use what is called rapid root which helps as well.

have hormone powder and its crap, going with some clonex next time i hit the grow shop, i only use soil, but the rapid rooters could be also a good idea

The only thing is, the number if plants... Rather than have 2 plants for a nice scrog I have far more many than I'd like....

clonex and root riot blocks and your laughing... You can get the peat pucks from woodies or b and q for less than the root riot blocks and are almost as good...
oh and don't forgot a bit of warmth under eath for good measure..

Jay I was just using the clonex and root riots as an example for cloning, of course their are tons of other products and home remedies for cloning but from my experience the rapid start will jump start germing like a mother fucker. for the rapid rooters you use them for transplanting or germing and then put them in soil or in rockwool. everybody has their way of cloning and what not I was just offering some of my own advice that has been tried and true.

What kind of hormone you using AE? I use Stim-Root 1 and peat pellets for my clones, always worked well for me

I love the peat pucks/pellets as they`re small, keep warm easy, and hold a good deal of water. Heat mat, dome, daily misting (mainly for RH), and you`re gettin 9/10 hits in 6-7 days :)

**Edit - Try also saoking the pellets with 100ppm of Bloom solution as well. New roots take kindly to the K when the first emerge **

see now clonex has all that shit in it, I have had 100% clone rate with the co-op run using it and the rapid root is the same but if you can go organic do it man!!!

Never tried Clonex in my years mate, harder to find here (aside from ordering) and I get near perfect with the $4-5 StimRoot. You suggest it that highly? I`m hesitant to use gels, seems strange to wrap my head around ... haha

All good man... Like you say, different people have different methods....I once stuck a cutting in to some compost outside and forgot about it, 6 weeks later I had to repot it as it was so big..

I like the price of those flora plugs you have but I'm not sure about the postage..

yea i just made my first batch the other day with the molasses & water, i had a spare bag of plagron bat mix so i just used that in a nylon sock, but i think the earthworm castings would be alot better aswell as with other supplements. i didnt get much foam after the 2nd day brew, it could be the submergible pump i tink it would work better if i was pumping the air in so il have to order a air pump & stone on ebay wen i get the dole :). where did you pick up the alfalfa meal,
also whats the best way to de-chlorinate water? should i just go get a reverse osmosis system, i hear leaving water in a bucket exposed evaporates the chlorine,

You can get alfalfa meal from pet shops/animal feed places. The earthworm castings would do quite a bit better than the soil, there is a huge amount of micronutrients and bacteria in them. I wouldn't bother with RO water,just use tap and make sure you bubble it for a few hours to get rid of the chlorine before putting anything in there,and make sure the water is 20C+
 
thanks guys, not been much of a cloner in the past, I tend to buy seeds, but tonight I'm taking maybe 4 clones off my Trainwrecks and want to make sure they got the best chance. I got a heated propagator tray with the dome, I got some Klonex gel type hormone, I got some rochgrow cube thingys, so all I need is a razor blade or something to make sure I get a clean cut, we'll see how it goes, thanks for the help guys, much obliged.
