left my water to dissapate chlorine last night and now the tap water is 6.7 so dont think ill add chemicals for a while just to see it down to 6.5. thanks for the heads up on that post harrekin. some good reading.

ps. i got the plant repotted last night, wasnt as bad as i thought, the soil was just one big ball of roots and all twined up in the bottom. soil was very wet though and stunk. hope it will be a bit better now, well wait and see.

Did you break up the ball of roots or just replant it all bound up? I always try to untwist or loosen up the ball of roots, I even read a guide that suggested slicing your roots with a razor blade for root pruning.

Read about that razor blade trick too Harrekin. Might try it with one of the plants on the next grow to see how she reacts.

Ill probably get flamed for this but after I water I also like to push the sides of the pot in, trying to make a slight gap between the pot and soil, its seems to air prune the roots. My roots are a mass of tiny tiny roots growing everywhere, they're even growing upwards out of the soil, I dont think theres even much soil left, it seems to be just a solid mass of roots!

Funny you should say that mate. A friend of mine grew an auto plant and by the time came to chop there was fuck all dirt left in the pot, just a mess of roots.

Still, it was a lovely smoke:-P

yes harrekin i rub my hand around the roots, which loosens the soil all around the ball. it may have been a bad choice with it being in flower but well have to wait and see. there were just a mass of small rots all around the sides and then the thick roots at the bottom, i couldnt do too much with the bottom ones as they were strapped together really well but i did loosen them up. wouldnt like to go near them with a razor though, does it work? what size pots are you using harrekin, you may need to pots size up aswell, good luck its not nice.
lookin nice jack keep going fella, when you come to the last week of the grow you could give them only 8 hours light to raise thc levels.

I use 10L pots, I dont really need to make them any bigger cos the roots aint circling and I feed/water them regularly. Gonna get 10L Airpots for next grow anyways tho.

yes im going to look at air pots today. i have a problem with the one i transplanted, when i took it out of the pot it stunk of stale water, last night i flushed it but the water wasnt coming through at all. today most of the water has drained through but its still very heavy, i put extra holes everywhere but to no avail. dont know what to do. apart from breaking up the roots what elese could i do?
lu

thanks lu i wish i had the option but as all the other plants are in different stages of flowering but thanks for advise didnt know about that 8hours light cycle..
jack

yeah ive been a few times, only live a hour train journey from the place. not mad on the place to be honest but does have amazing smoke and you do pay for it but worth it.the prices dont change much outside the city or in any other city outside amsterdam, from personal opinion the quality gets worse. but if you know a place where you can get the same quality and cheaper prices than hillstreet blues man id love to know the place jingle peace ..jack

hey irish mc that law will never come in,mainly because its makes the country so much money on tourism. but yeah why not only a hour away haha...jack

Irish in CO here, happy St. Patricks Day to all. Starting my first grow. a 1000w HID for flowering and a 600w MH for growth. Also have 30 seeds from past year in a germination tray, bottom heat with 24" T5, on 18hrs....off 6. 50% have broken thru....I soaked them 24 hours and then planted them with ground breaking accomplished in 3 days. Am not sure at the strains I've got but will closely monitor them for males as they progress. Flower room is 6x8 and grow room is 6x4...walls lined in plastic. 6" exhaust duct and 4" fresh air intake. Acquired six clones; 2 pineapple express; 2 blackberry kush; 1 herijuana and 1 grape kush. Going organic and decided on FoxFarm nutrients. Have had the clones 1 week and just transplanted in to 7 gal pots yesterday and supplied nutrients first time today. Wish me luck. Will include some photo's over the coming week. Must now go and celebrate this glorious Irish Holiday. A pint to you all.

hey guys, back again!!!
Here are my three babies. Big one is orange bud. the one with a good few leaves and preflowers is snowryder auto flowering, and the other is barney's farm lsd. They're all in my conservatory now.
question lu, do the pre flowers go brown or change colour after a week or two? wot do u think lu and d rest of ya? This is my first grow for fun by the way!!
My dad told me to put them in the conservatory so as not to use too much electricity with the lights!!!

if its safe to put in conservatory then go ahead as its better than any indoor lights, also the first pic the plant looks like its strectching for the light and not putting much foliage growth on, is that one defo a female? the orange bud looks like its going to be a lovely plant, nice and healthy looking, the only thing is you may have to put it in a larger pot. theres only 2 pics up so cant see the other one!
keep it up looking nice.
