Alright lads...it's my first grow, in a specially constructed room in back sheds. I'm just about to flip them. There's a good few wee midgee's in the room. Are these anything to be worried about?? If they are, any advice on what to do??? Thanks...

might be gnats. Are they in the soil n fly about the shop when watered??? Get gnatrol (ebay) n some fly sticky things u hang, problem solved...Lots of pics n crap online to clarify if it's em or not...any pics?? Don't post em unless you have a exif eraser

I'll have a proper look, I'll have to become a pest expert ( would have just called all small flys midges!!). What's exit eraser?? Cheers for the help...

Nah man only a few bugs to worry about (maybe a few more since ur in a shed lol) I too called all flies midges but tiny black flying dots are usually gnats. exif is metadata (data about data) for example when you take a picture with ur phone or camera it stores some information on the picture about the picture such as camera/phone model,date time n the one we worry about YOUR GEOGRAPHICAL LOCATION.. Ie where u are lol so we want to delete this before we post pics. A simple Google query of something along the lines " top ten best exif erasers" will point u towards the best one...they're all mostly free btw...don't go paying for one.

If they're your day to day bog flies I'd probably not worry too much. I had some piggy back into my tent on my hair after being outside on a buggy evening.
They seemed to hang out under the scrog canopy cos it was the only place cool enough for them. They just died out in the end cos there was nowhere damp and boggy enough to chill out.

One thing I like about an Irish winter over summer is no fucking midges!

S'up all. Good to have you back @r31@X. How we all today? The white dom is jarring nicely. Bit couch locky but not complaining. Looking at Amnesia Haze as part of next grow but also have unknown bagseed from a killer oz I got.

Could be just reg fruit flies. Was the organic compost anyway damp when you got it or have a large % of organic material listed?

I'm not bug expert, but if they are bog flies I found them harmless. Wouldn't hurt to put up a strip of sticky bug paper though?

ye I use tor man,how would they get me if they wanted ?like how would they track a fella down that's using tor?talk of growing on here is only hearsay till ya put pics up,id rather be safe than sorry,too much ta lose..

Just a quick word about posting pics, I use to on this site and when the fukers came knocking at my door and found my plants in the shed, they had no idea they were there.. However, you wouldn't know what the dirty cu.nts are at, so my advice would be just put a pic up of a really unhealthy plant bearly a foot tall as they be laughed at if it went to court.
Myself, I've got my barrister to plead guilty on 3 charges and asking to drop the 4th being intent to supply to dpp... I should hear back some time in October but if it fails then I'm back up in November for another sitting amongst murders, rapist and armed robbers...!

the best advice I can give ya bro is ta buy a tent and put it in the room ya built,there cheap enough on ebay.
other than that as the lads said,sticky traps should cut them down....only put pics on here if your 100% confident they cant be tracked or if ya don't give a fuck...lol...
