Seems this round we will fight against a lot of shot glas growers, LOL! Still don't understand this practic at least for dirt growers.. I've tried it many times and compared with 12 to 24h soak in time against sowing directly into soil and the latter always won! Even if a seed swim or dive means nothing.. older seeds need much more time to soak up enough water.

I totally agree.
I have a batch that was and is working great so wanting to see if it could handle additional amendments I added some amendments to a small batch and tested it with my bag seed and they came out OK.

Great idea to compare the EC of the two soils as I still have both.

Could be that my bag seed was able to handle it better than the new seeds so yes I believe it could be the soil.

I still have both soils and if allowed to restart I'll use the old version.
Using the older batch has shown some excellent growth in my veg tent including a small plant with eleven blade leaves.

I think these 3 will pull through.
I put 3 bag seed in the paper towel yesterday in case @The Dawg says it's OK.

Either way I will continue on to harvest.
I will do everything I can not to crash and burn even if they start out weak.
No plans on pulling a Dawg and being added to the embarrassing crash and burn club ;).

A couple of pics taken today.
Here is a pic of my veg tent with the older version of the soil I am using and I still have plenty more to use. In the tent I have plants started from seed, some clones and a re vegged plant.
Also a pic of the 3 seedlings. They seem to be working through it and I believe they will improve.

That looks much better already. Pretty sure the symtones dissapear with the 2nd or 3rd set of leaves. Seems it was only little too much for the tap root or the tap root has just reached a spot with more undissolved fertilizer. As long as they grow let them... They are not behind the green one.

PS. You guys have restored my confidence in my language skills! I almost thought I'm really too stupid.., lol!

Things are about to really get rolling. The one seedlings with the slight claw just wasn't quite ready for the Might Growth Enhancer apparently :lol:

Man I had to regerm beans. My gg4 s1s neither of them germed. Did two fem alien masster kush. They cracked taps. Got them in paper towels now.

Weekly update! Seedlings don't look good because of a few issues I've already mentioned. Humidity it pretty low because of the cold weather(<25% RH) and I'm still forced to use the humitity domes.
Ph is a bit better now and new growth will be hopefully "normal".

I had the same problem so I bought one of these for my small tent

It's obviously Chinese and good knows how long it'll last, but it's taken care of my RH problem. I have a small tent thou, 20"x3'. The unit is miniature in size and comes with 2 options: always on or 30sec on 30 sec off . Using the latter so I don't have to fill more than once . Leave it off at night. And has no dumb red lights that come on when water runs out

Hope you can switch off the disco light and it lasts a few weeks. Is it enough? I've considered getting something similar but decided against it. And later it get's anyway better with time an till than I can keep the ppm's lower according the the VPD to avoid further issues.

However AssKush will work just fine for the labeling of my cups.
Took pictures each day in case they green up all of a sudden.
They have improved.
Those yellow leaves will have the last laugh when your 1st set of beautiful green leaves are long gone.

I did some slurry tests and found the EC double that of the original soil.
I'm going to do more testing and will share results when I'm done.

Yea it has 7 different colors but luckily has an off position as well. I suppose one could also cut the wire going to the led inside.
As far as raising the rh goes, due to cold temps, I basically get by without using my PC fan exhaust and it keeps the tent above 45 with on/off option. Does better when on continuously, but tank is small so you'd have to refill at least a couple times. when i do use the exhaust, it usually drops down to 35 cause it's pulling dry air in as it exhausts.
