Minor update ( germed / planted 1/16 )

Strains :
King Kong Poison #4
GSG ( Girl Scout Glue )
Malawi / C99

Medium :
FFOF ( bottom 1/3 )
EB Stone Recipe 420 ( Top Fill )

Water :
Tap ( PH 6.4 ) to allow any drift , no 24 hour chlorine gas off
Small amount around stalk not full cup.

Nutes :
Optic Foliar Overdrive ( Foliar only x every other day )

Light :
HLG Quantum 288 ( 3000k 90 cri ) with G8 deep red ( 630 - 660 nm ) led
Running about 80 watts at this stage ( dimmed ) . Temps around 72° give or take .
Heat mat to keep roots warm ( timer ).

Smaller one is finally getting her legs and throwing her first leaves.
So maybe I will choose her , we will see .
I do not plan to feed any time soon , as medium is doing the feed .
I was planning perhaps a dry amendment type feed , not bottled.
Maybe Dr. Earth ( Life Organic or Premium Gold ( more humic acid ) , I have had pretty good results with Dr. Earth HomeGrown so I expect any of those other fertilizers will work well.

We remember your trashcan tho.
1x cxb 3590 and 4x cx? 3070 at 60 watts total for 11.5 hrs, 2x red mono cobs at 11ish watts 15min before and after cobs and 1hr overlap, 2x uv mono cobs at 10ish watts each for 6 minutes at the top of the hour for the middle 10 hrs of the day. Mounted to a graphics card chiller block with radiator blowing back into cabinet (I need the heat).

Yes air lines, and would you please translate this?

I have heard the styrafoam called elephants feet, but I can't make heads or tails of the rest of it......LOL

Lol, yeah! As a foreigner I should maybe not try to make jokes?! Shitty language barrier! With wrinkled elefant paws I actually mean my old grandpa hands, lol. And a set of hot ears you get when slapped..

I hear you! :)

I am going to grow them out either way and will share the results.

For the comp I'd rather go with the bag seed that I think will be better.

Not sure if I caused it with a soil choice or it's a lighting issue or maybe it is genetic.
Cotyledons are yellow out of the gate on two of them. One has green cotyledons and the 1st set of leaves are yellow.
My bag seed cotyledons will usually remain green for two or three weeks and have remained green for the last 13 days under the LED during a test run.

Whatever it is I'll wait for the Dawg's call on if I can choose the bag seed.
No worries either way.

Here are some pics of the seedlings and also one of my bag seed plants that I started 13 days ago to test out my 1st grow with an LED.

There is probably something wrong with your soil mix, brother!
Seedlings in this stage need almost no nutrients and to me it looks like nute burn. I would check the EC of the soil with the old 100g soil/150ml demi water method. 0,8-1mS is more than enough for this stage.

In my coco/clay pebble mix the ph drifted to f..... 7,1 because I've puffered the coco probably with too much molasses. Now my first leaf set look already like claws because of too much nitrogene, lol! That really fucks me up because I was forced to flush the cups a few times to get the ph back down. And its drifting again upwards...
Not the best idea to flush seedlings; its for sure counted productive for root development which is the most important thing currently. Thankfully there is enough air inside the mix even when completely soaked up. So I hope I can fix it without loosing too much. Time will tell..

I got the elephant hands joke and thought it was funny.
I was going to tease you but I always respect my elders lol.

On the soil.
I totally agree.
I have a batch that was and is working great so wanting to see if it could handle additional amendments I added some amendments to a small batch and tested it with my bag seed and they came out OK.

Great idea to compare the EC of the two soils as I still have both.

Could be that my bag seed was able to handle it better than the new seeds so yes I believe it could be the soil.

I still have both soils and if allowed to restart I'll use the old version.
Using the older batch has shown some excellent growth in my veg tent including a small plant with eleven blade leaves.

I think these 3 will pull through.
I put 3 bag seed in the paper towel yesterday in case @The Dawg says it's OK.

Either way I will continue on to harvest.
I will do everything I can not to crash and burn even if they start out weak.
No plans on pulling a Dawg and being added to the embarrassing crash and burn club ;).

A couple of pics taken today.
Here is a pic of my veg tent with the older version of the soil I am using and I still have plenty more to use. In the tent I have plants started from seed, some clones and a re vegged plant.
Also a pic of the 3 seedlings. They seem to be working through it and I believe they will improve.

Here’s my official germination post. Two LA Kush X Purple Punch beans were dropped into a shot glass URB and distilled water last night. Both have sunken and should crack soon. They will be grown in a mini DWC in Needsomebeans’ Palace of Pain.DC494B90-42C4-4A76-8A39-32B6AC348047.jpeg
Forgot to mention these are both female beans and one will be fed Emerald Harvest nutes and the other will be fed Mega Crop.
