The fishing thread ( not about fish fertilizer)

You can use 2 rods at the same time in certain waters here in OR if you pay extra for the "two rod validation", which I don't- I use one rod at a time, it's just easier to switch rods than to change over the terminal tackle
Same here, two poles in the lakes is OK with the second pole stamp, not in the rivers.

You ever do the kids derby at Paradise lake?
I have many times. We would have at least one kid for each of us. Screw the kids! I’m fishing
My dad's house was by the upper end of the lake, just had to walk down the hill. Had to hide from the patrol boat. Caught a nice catfish down there also.

I like to take two rods with me one for wet fly and lures the other for dry fly but I can only have one in the water, i can miss a fair part of fly hatch changing lines leader and tying up another cast

If I'm unsure of the river conditions I'll take a fly rod and a spinning rod again I can only have one in the water.

I've not been out on the river this season yet I'm hoping for a bit rain for a slim chance of a salmon, I didn't land one last year at all and god knows I hooked and lost around 10 salmon over the last month so I feel I've a score to settle :-)

I also like to keep busy on the move so I bait fish in a couple ways, the worm I fish with a pencil lead/bouncing betty down through a stretch its not a static type fishing.

And after a summer spate on the local burns I use wasp grubs or doken grubs fished of my fly rod its really productive method though frowned upon by the younger generation lol.
