So I've been looking at kingbright and about to pull the trigger on a new light. I was looking at getting one of their 320w lights for a 2x4x5 tent. Was going to just order the one for 175, but was wondering if anyone could tell me if the other 320w were any better?

I just put this together. Got from AliExpress for $163 and change shipped to Canada. No duties. Samsung QB V2 4000k LM301B said to be SL bin with 660nm red. The 3000k and 3500k versions are SK bin. Meanwell HLG-120H-48B driver. 118w at the wall. It's SUPER bright! Super easy build. Seems legit.

What would everyone’s opinion be for a flower light set up. This is all for a 4x4x8 tent.

Option 1.
6 x qb288 3000k on 3 separate 240w hlg-240h-48b w/ 4 x qb11 cree 660 strips on a hlg-80h-700b

Option 2.

6 x qb288 3000k w/ Cree 660 +uv and ir on 3 separate hlg-240h-48b drivers

I have an order pending w/ KB for option one but I’m waiting on the dimmable driver for the strips. Contemplating changing it to the V4 boards. Thoughts? $300 CAD difference in price between the two options. I thought the 660 strips would be a good idea due to being able to keep the crees off for the first week of flower to reduce stretching but as I’m writing this I’m realizing the new KB and Meijiu boards have switches to turn the extras off. The strips would add 80w of 660 cree xp’s to the 4x4. Any input is greatly appreciated.

Well unfortunately I can’t cancel the driver as they had to order it from Meanwell. It had a 7 day lead time.

I’ve decided on the second option. The QB272 with the switch for 660, ir and uv. Due to not needing the 660 strips and still being stuck with the driver I figured I’d grab some blue strips and throw em on for the last two weeks of flower at low power.

Nice thing about KB is that they are very accommodating if you need to charge an order. I’ve dealt with them twice before this and nothing but great things to say.

I think kb also have 630 and 730 strips. Both are quite useful

Funny enough, I had a dream last night where the switches broke on the boards, leaving me with V2’s lol. I didn’t give it much though at the time of changing the kits but the more and more I thought about it, it really started to bug me. I’m gunna switch it to the lm301h + cree 660 qb288 kits. The strips I’m going to order in 730 and the UVa isn’t really a big issue to me. Done deal.
