The Chinese Quantum Board Knock Off Builds

If you are worried about delivery time from Alibaba with the leads from every single decent site in NA that sells good lights Alibaba is much faster. Hell I ordered my first light a week after my tent from Quebec (7 hour drive from me) And the light came before the tent. Then my second light took 3 business days to get to me. Ordered it on a Thursday and was ready for pickup Tuesday. And that was thanksgiving weekend as well.

I ordered my 2-1000w Hortiblooms on 10/19 and they just cleared Anchorage this morning at midnight. some vendors take forever I will most likely be switching back to Meijiu in the future.

I received both of my 2 orders from alibaba in under 5 days from the time it was shipped by the vendor. 8 days total on both orders from the date I paid for the order. Pretty dam decent in my opinion. I even had 1 order from china arrive 2 days before an amazon prime order for a different light I placed 1 day before the alibaba order. It was coming from Texas for fuck's sake. And China got here faster. It is what it is.

Wow that's lame :( MY experiences have been the opposite lol. This last Hortibloom order they used DHL and it was here here in 7 days and undamaged. Shipped 4 days after payment received. Meijiu took 13 days to ship then 12 days to show up since UPS sent it on a tour of the USA which added in twice the distance it was from China. Watching the path on the flight tracker app looked like the pilots went on a bender.

What I stated was "pls don't do it from Alibaba. You can buy Chinese if that's what you want. However, buy through an American vendor and save yourself a lot of grief." Not don't buy. I don't knock anyone's choices. If they can be bought through an America supplier they will save themselves some grief if problems do come up and they have to return them.
I only agree with half your opinion. I buy drivers stateside because of the ease and speed of warranty, and the driver is the pricey part of the light. When I buy boards I always buy 1 additional for back up. At $29. I consider QB boards disposable. I have never experienced a failure but if I did, I have exact replacement ready to go.
There's nothing wrong with Chinese boards. As stated, many stateside sellers are selling Chinese boards at premium prices but you can't complain about the price since they are assuming the warranty

Could anyone help me choose a meijiu light? Like, one that’s way up there on your wish list.
I really don’t know what I’m looking for with regard to k or par, or lumens or watts or really, I don’t know shit about shit, right now. Just need a recommendation.
I’d be willing to get the best or biggest or whatever, overkill is okay, I could be patient for deals if the light is awesome. The grow room will be 6 feet by 7 feet, but I’ll only likely do 4 plants at a time. Thanks in advance.

If you're trying to figure out how much power you'll need for that space, a simple metric of 30 watts/ sq ft of canopy will get you close when using top-tier diodes like the lm301h.
I find that most of the plants I grow will occupy a 2x2 footprint, so for your example I would work with a 4x4 area.
A 480-watt fixture in whatever form-factor fits best in your grow space should be a good start.
I run a meiju 480w qb clone fixture in my 4x4 pheno tent. It's 3500k with 660nm reds. Definitely grows some fire.

What is the consensus on the other numbers, 3000, 3500 etc., and bloom PAR?
Basically, higher the better?

Does that one light do veg and bloom?

I’m thinking about possibly separating the grow room for veg and bloom... which 2 lights and why? What would you consider better numbers for flower vs. Veg?

thanks

Few of us running the Meijiu A8-650. I run the 3500k's and they are the cats ass. Best nugs I've had to date. I like that the Meijiu's components are all independant and removable. If you have a a strip or end bar that shits the bed you can get a replacement. If I had this problem on my Hortibloom I'd have to send the entire fixture back as its all one piece.

How many watts per sq/ft are you guys able to run with the lm561c boards? I'm running almost 1 board per sq/ft so the efficiency is pretty high.. I think it's like 80 boards covering 96 sq/ft. I ran about 40 watts sq/ft and the bud was pretty airy..

Thats rather strange. We run something similar amount of lm561c diodes per area, about 3200 over a 4x4, with 2x 240 drivers, so about 30w per foot and have absolutely no airy bud. I dont think your missing light unless its hanging very high. What temps? Veg time etc? You most definitely have enough light i think.

My concern was too much light. At 40 watts my weed was super larfy, when I first bought these I ran them at like 50 watts and that was wayyyyy too much light haha. Yeah I’m not worried about 30 watts not being enough light but I want to use as much light as I can without screwing up quality

I've run my vero se/ F-strip arrays at almost 50 watts/ sq ft and it was a bit too much.
I think that they give me better results at about 40-45w/sq ft.

Hello,

Does anyone have any experience with Sylstar brand LED lights? They are essentially Spider Farmer SF4000 clones off of Alibabba.

Very interested in the sylstar LEDs.. can't find much info on them... did you find out any info at all?
