ya i know. the turbos are so loud on rear mount kits its awesome. idk if thats a STS kit but STS is the people known for making the rear mount kits. pretty easy to install too. easier than a normal turbo system.

Just picked up this 1983 Nissan 720 last week. 140,000 miles super clean. Stupid thing keeps failing smog at 2500 rpm's (high CO)

ya i think its called a triflux engine and was used in the lancia ecv 1 which was i believe a concept race car. dont know if it ever actually raced. but in that article they show some diagrams on how that engine works. head looks like what i thought it would but they dont show the valves. its gotta have a crazy valve/camshaft setup. like a 3 cams or something.
Its a DOHC, each cylinder has 4 valves with a intake and exhaust valve on each side of the cylinder, intake comes in, is detonated and then exhausted through the exhaust valve which is directly across from the intake so basically imagine a square, intake top left is exhausted bottom right, and intake top right is exhausted bottom left, crosses over in the cylinder

ya i was looking at the diagrams on the engine and figured that all out. just seems like a crazy design.

i'm pretty sure some of the lancia's used ferrari engines dro.. i was watching top gear bbc one day, and they were test driving an old lancia, and i remember jeromy clackson going on and one about it's ferrari power..
i just looked it up, and it seems lancia and ferrari are sister co's, they must both be owned by fiat in some way or another.. not too familiar with lancia as they weren't very big in the us.
The lancia delta evo was powered by an inline four(i belive built by the renault f1 engineer) the was both supercharged and turbo charged, and was basicly produced just to meet homolagation regulations for group B in the early 80s. Unfortunatly the cars were too fast and a few spectators were killed in a few rounds so group b was dropped. The ford rs200 was the most badass of them all and basicly on par with formula 1 at the time tech wise but never saw a race. Little late to the party lol.

The most badass machines run through the baja penesula though nothing would beat 800+h,p 30+ inches of wheel travel, 42 inch tall tires at 120mph going through a washboard section.

Decided to keep my current car. Instead once I get my tax returns I'll be buying a 110cc pocket bike and making it into a project. There are some already on craigslist but god knows by the time I get my returns they'll be gone so it might take a little. I also plan on doing a super small amount of work on my car while I work on the bike, I'm thinking about getting a chip for it but really up in the air because I hear so many mixed reviews on if they work or not.

For the bike I'm going to up the cc as much as possible without making the engine too large to have to mod the body but if it can't be avoided I guess I'll have to get the cutters and welder out lol. One of my buddies has a pocket bike project and he's upped it to about 150cc now and the thing is stupid fast and a blast to ride. It can do power wheelies, but the stock 110s will do that. My goal speed wise, is going to be in the ball park of 80mph. I know they can get up to a 100+ but when I get closer to 80 I'll see how I feel if I want to spend more money on more mods or even risk going faster for the sake of safety. I don't plan on doing much if anything at all to looks for it, but I will be upping the exhaust. First of all I don't want it to sound like a weed wacker lol and a decent exhaust (even if I rig one up like I've seen before) is on the list for performance mods I'm doing anyway. Heres a pic of the one that will most likely be gone when I get my returns but just so you have an idea of what I mean. It's an x18 which is what I'm looking at 99% of the time, it's the most common still around.

I might toss up a vid of one if I can find a half decent video on youtube

when i was probably around 14 or so, these people who lived right down the street from me had a jaguar xjs, 12 banger, and a ferrari 308, the magnum pi car..
now being my town is about as working class as you can get, these sites weren't very common place to say the least.. i used to drool all over the white xjs and the red ferrari every day on the way to school..
my brother whom is much older than i, raced the xjs one night in his 67 camaro.. he said he killed it off the line, then at about a buck twenty, all he heard was what sounded like a plane coming up from behind and blew past him..

lol nice i looked at pocket bikes a long time ago when they first got real big and people started racing them. hell with like 1500 bucks you can buy a new 110 and have money left over to mod the hell out of it. pretty fin but dangerous at the same time. if i was more of a rider and had a kid i would deff spoil him with one and start him off early.
