Step 5.
This is a step to make sure your hash is completely clean of solvents and water. After this step you would have some fairly awesome hash (if you have gone through all the other steps) and could stop and smoke here if you wanted... But for those who want "The Best" hash, do step 5, then continue on.
Get a pot that is bigger than the stainless steel one, and fill it with cooking oil. Put the hash in the stainless steel pot, and the stainless steel pot in the oil. Use a candy thermometer and wait for the oil to get to 220 F or 104 C. Hold a small mirror over the stainless steel pot. When the mirror no longer fogs up, you have removed all extra solvents and water from your hash.

Step 6.
Now... This is the FIRST step that is really doing more than most average extraction methods (other than multiple purity runs). But we still aren't done after this.
What you need for this is Petroleum Ether, and preferably an ice bath to keep the glass in the whole time.
Dissolve the hash in 5x its weight in petroleum ether, this can be measured by weighing your hash, then "Tare"ing your scale with a glass on it, and weighing out 5x the weight in Petroleum Ether.
You are going to want to use a bottle that has a screw top (mason jar, etc)
Add the same volume of water as Petroleum Ether (Use the same glass and scale, or even draw a line on the outside of the glass when you weigh the Ether)
Measure HALF of the water and add that much more Petroleum Ether. (This is what the book says, but I think it is a typo and I will test it myself. I believe this part of the step should be alcohol. So that there is one layer of water, one layer of ether, and one layer of alcohol. As the book says there will be 3 layers)
A. Screw the cap on, flip the jar upside down for a moment, then immediately return it upright.
B. Wait for the liquid to flow down the side of the jar for a moment, then open the cap to relieve pressure.
C. Then recap.
Repeat A, B and C 25x
Let it sit for a half hour, until you can see three distinct layers. The top is the layer you want it has ALL the Cannabinoids, the middle will have minimal Cannabinoids in it that will be lost most likely (as they are still mixed with tar), and the bottom will have tar and resin.
Now... You may be wondering how to get the top layer all by itself now... If you have a glass bong, you are in luck. (if not, you will need one for the next step)

Where did this comment come from magickph? I read the thread backwards trying to figure out what prompted you referencing stinging nettles as a method to strip off oils. Im trying to figure out what lead to the subject before I ask if stingled netting is stinging nettle? im asking you as a " expert of natural medicine ". Are you talking about using it's essential oil or an aromatic hydrocarbon found in it? I know you don't mean a water ph change from exposure to astringent plant matter are planing to strip a wax covered tricome head in the presence of plant material. If you wanna google a holy grail try limonene at least you'll make sense to a homeopath and a chemist. But if you know something I dont I'd be glad to cut down some nettles from by my duck pond.

True at least the part about nature does best. I've made all the popular hashes yet that dry sieve hash dominates all you lose all the terpines with bubble hash not too sure about bho but your still losing a lot of flavor but dry sieve just tastes so much better but of course it aint 80% thc but who needs that much I'd rather it taste great and smoke more and your smoking more terpines to so your getting higher.

I didn't leave because the more I posted random theories (that unless proved wrong, I still believe are plausible, but you guys don't prove much wrong, you just spout stupid shit at what you think is stupid shit) the more views I got.
At this point my videos, blog and everything get views JUST because of the base viewership I got from the trolls. You guys made the stuff look popular, and more people came. So I really have seen no reason to leave.
