Wassup boss?!

I'm not sure how the pH down works as I don't use it..Was just a suggestion I guess! And I'm saying that they might help buffer to prevent a pH swing yes!
And true there's a lot of EWCs in the mix, but its all good to use them heavily.
They good enough to grow in 100% worm casting and do not burn :joint: I top dressed my
"big 3" maybe 3/4 times over the course of veg!

Hmm... I have some general organics cal/mag I picked up as a safety precaution a bit back... I'm experimenting with that... adding a light dose to the water brings me from 8.5 down to 7, so that's pretty good. Maybe I'll just keep adding a light cal/mag feeding with each watering... I'm gonna let it sit for a bit and see if it stays stable at 7...

Okay, cool... well maybe I should just brew EWC-tea each time I want to water if I can't over do it? Would that work? I've never made tea but I'm assuming it would have a lower ph than my water. I just thought I'd have to use teas sparingly with such a rich soil to avoid over-nuting... but I guess if it's just EWC tea theres no risk of overdoing it, right? So can I just make a tea each time I water? (I'm assuming that the tea's ph would be lower than the water, especially if you're sayin' top dressing would prevent a swing!)

P.S. Sorry for a million questions, just tryin' to get square on this concept, lol. I gotta get back to reading teaming with microbes... once my crop comes in my reading commitments drop from like 90mph to 5mph, lol.

Luckly, I have a natural springs in Broken Arrow, OK.spring water. Temp 65.6 degrees, 90 ppm, 6.20 pH

Just found it and I am going to start with it tomorrow.

During veg, an EWC tea will do you marvelous bro! During flower you gonna wanna try and brew some fungi too tho, and ewcs only brew bacteria.
It's really hard to over nute with AACTs bro. You just gotta mix em to the right proportions and not concentrate any one thing. The only time Ive over did it so far is mixing in too much molasses.
And in order to fix that, I gave them more AACTs haha. Just with the right ratio. And they came back strong!
AACTs add microbes to the soil and the plants get a nute boost becuase some of the microbes in that AACT will have already went to work in the AACT and made some of the ingredients you added into plant ready form. Everything else is just more beneficial microbes to add to the soil ecosystem.
The plants take what they need from the soil. So yeah the soil is nutrient rich, but none of that is for the plants. It's all added to feed the microbes in the soil, which eat it and recycle it, converting it to plant ready syrum. A lot thats available in the soil will not be being used at any one time. That stuff remains within the soil ecosystem until the plants ask for it by excreting exudates that say so.
And u can make a tea everytime you water yes, but not the same one over and over. Switch em up to brew different things like i said!

And hit SomeBeech up about pHing the AACTs. I don't do it, but he was first a hydro guy, so he's pHing them as his own experient!
All good for the q's bro! keep em coming! Keeps me on my shit! Hopefully ppl can correct me if I'm wrong in their eyes, or if I missed something, add it.:joint:

Okay, cool man, I will definitely get going on teas soon then if it's not too easy to over do them. Anything to bring down that tap water ph at this point, and feeding extra is just a nice bonus at this phase, LoL. But yeah, thanks for the feedback, that filled in most of the gaps in my understanding!

Maybe somebeech will find his way in here :D haha. Too bad this isn't like where he gets a notification just by mentioning him by name, lol.

Anyway, I think I can manage this pretty well overall, between the cal/mag bringing me down to 7 which will be good enough for watering until I get some tea made, then maybe I'll alternate between those two options, or like you said mix up different teas each watering or whatever, just to avoid putting too much cal/mag in. (though I doubt that's likely as I'm only putting in the lightest dose)

Well I guess I have my reading cut out for me again, haha.

Thanks for chattin' me up about this Sincerely, always appreciate your help.

No doubt bro! I feel obliged that you succeed lol :joint:

edit* obliged that you go above and beyond success haha.
Success is just too ordinary lol

I've done success, now it's time for fuckin awesome ;) This grow is going to turn a new corner for me, I'm sure of it... i can just tell by how healthy and happy they look in their new soil. I'm really looking forward to seeing this batch through. I've grown a decent amount, and the quality is always superb, but the quantity is always lacking due to deficiencies or lockouts in flowering... this soil's gonna kick some ass though, I got that good feelin'. And these strains are both sweet. The raspberry cough is really bulking up every day... I have to start making the support rings soon so I can start spreading the canopy more already because the eight heads are starting to crowd each other. The C99's are running behind them by a couple weeks because that's when I started the seeds, heh... but if there's one thing I can say about those it's that they're resilient as fuck... I went ballistic on them when training and I swear I must have trimmed like half the green off each plant between cutting clones off and cleaning everything up for the mainline... but the next day, here they are, tops up, ready to rock, new shoots all developing nicely.

Pics in a few...

Garden:

Raspberry Coughs, eight heads each,

except one that died out on me earlier... the plant grew another node above it and still shot out but it's a generation behind so it's tiny and will probably end up shorter than the rest but still functional. I tacked down the neighboring head to make sure the little guy gets light and so that the little head is higher in elevation than the neighboring heads to encourage growth hormones to to it.:
:
evening out a couple heads and encouraging some spreading:

[*]

C99's, which I shot with flash to try it out... still doesn't quite capture the green that well, flash kinda yellows things a little, but not too bad...:

[*]
[*]

Obviously with two nodes on these I end up with a similar issue where they might not end up the same height... especially the middle plant which has a lot of distance between the two nodes on the main stalk... but I am pretty sure super cropping will save the day once I get the metal rings in place.

Just found out that there's a place to get dry ice nearby after all... only 45 minutes away, which is way better than I previously thought... so that's nice... I'll have to order me a bag and make dry ice hash.

i buy mine from a specialty ice cream place called graters. there is some kind of search engine for finding places that sell dry ice i think. only 45 min? that some dedication to hash lol.

Everything's forever from everything out here, 45 mins isn't bad, lol. But yeah, on that note, I don't actually have that much trim on hand, really. Maybe I'll wait til after next round. I was pretty sparing with my trim job since it was so crystally and I don't personally care, it mostly goes in my vaporizer anyway. Good to know it's there, anyhow...

you could make acetone hash and get the stuff from lowes(i got some pretty decent results). or you could do bho or alchohol and order it online.

As far as phing the teas it really all depends on the teas. I don't with my compost teas, just for the simple fact that my ecosystem is stable and and my teas are very neutral. I've actually done a side by side comparison a few years back on 2 identical strains. Was 2 clones taken from a mother. Both vegged the same, fed the same, everything the same except PHing my teas, and what do you know the non ph'd one did better. I was curious so I did a little run off test on both of them. Come to find out the buffer of the ph up in my teas was just enough to make my ph in the soil just a bit to high and wasn't making all my nutes available and had to feed more often with fungi to keep my microbes in check.

Ok now that I wrote all that I am high as fuck. Took a small sample bud of dried vinnie and put her in the pax and jesus christ!

I do like dry sift myself, I have a nice keif box... so dry ice is the next logical step!! But I do want to try my hand at BHO too, eventually.
