The Adventures of Lank

I see those little suckers all over here, but def don't have the baws to eat them! I hope they don't fuk you up in a bad way!
nahhh, man. i be fine :-o , i ate them yesterday.
you should give them a go one day, you gotta eat quite a few little ones to get trippy (50+)
i mean, only if you got a positive ID, Wikipedia made it pretty easy though, they have a good description and a few typical things to look for.
take a look around next time your outside and you might just be suprised by how dense they grow in certain places, and how there are single little Libbies almost EVERYWHERE.
thanks for stopping by, and have a good afternoon!

more to come,
HAPPY FRIDAY!

-Lank

started dripping 1hr after i started (9am)
discarded first 100ml, "tops"
collected for 1h (10am)

got 2L of almost 70% (140proof) Shine :-o
now i collect the "tails" for another half hour or so, as they are still very potent.

these are pictures of me testing it after i collected 2l of Shine, it is still 60%, but will start dropping rapidly in strength until its making pure water

brought down the Sour Spyder (Mdanzig seeeds, gifted from a BCBD Rep)

when they began flowering it was obvious that there were 2 main phenotypes, a bushier PURPLE one and a taller orange/pink one that was a bit more dense.
out of 6 seeds, all sprouted and were female, and 3 were dark purple and 3 were orange/pink. both are really smelly, and covered in sugar.

Orange on the left, purple on the right,

some purple shots

here are nugs from both Pheno's, side by side.
DSCF3045.jpgDSCF3047.jpg

and the Orange one
DSCF3057.jpg

and one of the purple ones i harvested a week or so earlier is smokeable, and tastes pretty damn good considering it hasnt cured yet.
it is BY FAR the most purple weed i have ever seen, so if purple is your thing i would definitely recommend this strain!

everybody has there own way of cloning, and im a believer of using whatever method works best for you. here is my way of cloning, i get 100% success most batchesbongsmilie:peace:

the Tools of the Trade
DSCF3112.jpgDSCF3114.jpg

my cabin has limited space, so i setup on my dining table :hump:
(notice the tag on the board? its called a Budda Board and you paint on it with water, which dries up in a few minutes)
DSCF3117.jpg

the Mom, a Gigabud from G13.
DSCF3120.jpgDSCF3122.jpg

i cut from any part of the plant, depending on whether it needs to be shorter or get trimmed from the bottom up.
DSCF3128.jpg

then into a glass of water until i cut half a dozen or so
(check out the budda board now)
DSCF3129.jpg

prep the Scalpel, they say that they have been sterilized with gamma radiation
DSCF3130.jpgDSCF3131.jpgDSCF3132.jpg

then i pull a clone out of the glass and put it in the pie dish, cutting off the lowest set of nodes then cutting the mainstem just below them, all cuts done underwater.
DSCF3133.jpgDSCF3134.jpg

poke a lil hole in the rockwool, the pre-made holes are too big
DSCF3135.jpg

then a dip in the cloning gel, and firmly set in the rockwool atleast 1cm deep.
DSCF3136.jpgDSCF3137.jpg

trim off half the big fanleaves so it dosent droop, and into the cloning dome, which has a heating mat under it and a little flouro above it.
DSCF3139.jpgDSCF3140.jpg

thats my cloning setup, feel free to post up your own ways, or add any helpful insight

hope everbody is having a good new year!

-Lank

Here is where i put the clones once their leaves get the final trim, heating mat underneath them and two, 15W T8 Flouro's hanging above them on 24/0.

should be rooted in just over a week,

Good Morning!

-Lank

Built a new workbench the other day, and decided i wanted to make a mom cab underneath it :)
so out came the poly, tape gun and sticky velcro.
got two, dual bulb 4ft T8's for light and a little oscillating fan for circulation.
quite proud of my work with the sticky velco and staples
these moms are Black Russian and OG (Dinafem), and a Gigabud from G13.
anyone else work with velco and staple before? its surprisingly easy and lightproof!

If your interested in a shroom tek much like buying a premade kit, check these links:

http://sporeworks.com/Psilocybe-tampanensis-Pollock-Spore-Print-Microscopy-Kit.html
+
http://www.mycopath.com/sterilized-wild-bird-seed-fungi-bag™-2lb-p-15.html

Inject, and incubate 70-80 degrees f (in darkness)

After 3 - 6 months you can harvest your sclerotia truffles from the mycelium.

Use the lefter over grains and mycelium in an outdoor spawn patch.
thanks man, i should get one of those sterile substrate blocks because i think i have a spore syringe kicking around here somewhere, lol.
right now im limited by space, my house is getting overrun by dope :)

on the subject of outdoor mushies, did you see the liberty caps i found a few weeks ago? i posted them in this thread a few pages back, take a look ;-)

thanks for stopping by,

-Lank

watering day for the Gigabud, you can see shes starting to droop a little.
DSCF3154.jpgDSCF3156.jpg
going to put this one into bud soon, or shes going to outgrow her pot.
cant even tell i took almost a dozen clones off this girl, they should root in a few days, today i gave them their mid-way watering, i just dip a corner of every rockwool block into a very light kelp fertlizer for a second or two and then put them back until theyre rooted.

Morning everybody!

-Lank

I needed another intake vent to make my room both lightproof and well ventilated, and the only panel that was clear was the door.
DSCF1811.jpg

so i cut a hole in it:fire:
DSCF3160.jpgDSCF3161.jpg

then i built this intake cover that im calling a Boot, it is basically just an intake vent that dosent allow light to pass thru.
DSCF3162.jpg

there is this one on the outside of the door, it is open at the bottom to allow cool air to be pulled up and in.
DSCF3163.jpgDSCF3164.jpg

and on the inside there is another positioned in the same place that is also open on the bottom.
DSCF3165.jpgDSCF3167.jpgDSCF3168.jpg
now, the air has to go up the outside of the door, then thru the hole, then back down the inside of the door before being circulated into the plants. when i close the door NO light leaks out the vent :-P
the lighted room has negative pressure provided by an exhaust fan mounted near the peak of the room, so air is now being drawn from the "work area" as well as outside.

that was todays project, any input or ideas?

Peace,

-Lank
