Thanks cascadian and wattsaver. When the lights come on tonight I'm taking the guys to the old grow spot in the garage. The temp out there fluctuates a lot, but now that spring weather is here i think it shouldnt get too cold.

@Wattsaver. Just to clerify your pollination method. You put the pollen sacks in a bag once dry. And then you just put the whole bag over the branch your pollinating. Then twist tie it off? Seems like a lot of pollen for one branch. Haha.
I was just gonna try the q-tip method. But i think tying a bag over the pollenated branch for 12 hr dark period to prevent spread of pollen is a good idea. So ill probably incorporate that in as well.

Plants are looking good mate, love the bathroom shots.

Will you be shipping those seeds to Canada?

Thanks Geero. They are moving along nicely. There's noticeable bud growth from just yesterday. The temp still gets a little hot, but like I said before. No signs of stress from it, not yet anyways.

But as for shipping, I really wish I could buddy. If I change my mind I'll shoot you a pm.

Mmm i love me some lemon tasting bud. Thats a shame they turned out lanky though. The lemon taste is one of the reasons i got jack the ripper actually. I think out of any flavor or smell, lemon is always the most distinct.
Jack herer and kali would be a good mix. You plan on getting those from sensi seeds?

Those bags were filled with fresh pollen sacks. The only time you need to dry it real good is if you are going to store it. Misting the plant before removing the bags is important, because the water will neutralize pollen. If I end up using the dried stored pollen, I want to try Uncle Bens method of cutting the pollen with flour, he says it works great for localized pollinating.

Thanks for clerifying that for me. Good to know.

What is the flour supposed to do exactly? And what is the benefits? Seems pretty random but you have me curious now. Gonna look it up now. Lol

Hey mate, nice thread, you got some good quality girls (and boys) there! Your first hempy grow is going real well.
With the stretchy JH, you've got what looks like the haze pheno, it will take longer to flower but damn, it is probably the best of the 4 pheno's you can get from jack by way of stone. If you want the best of jack to breed with, hit her with some pollen, you won't be disappointed mate :-D
Keep up the great work and awesome pics :)

Well i appreciate you stopping in and checking out the grow !!! Buds arejust now starting to form so stick around if youd like.
As for the JH, i figured she was a haze dom. I just didnt know how many pheno's there were of her. But if she's supposed to be the strongest pheno, im excited. I wasnt going to pollinate her but i might go ahead and do it and see what i get. Btw, do you know the flower time for the haze pheno?
Do you have any info on the shorter indica dom JH i have?

I have a purple indica dominant JH pheno, the flowering time is about 8 - 8 1/2 weeks but I let it go 9 weeks because I had to harvest all at once and others weren't done. It has a deep heavy fruity flavor and definitely a more indica effect.

Awesome, just what i needed to know. Do you have a link to a thread that shows that plant? Id appriciate it.

Apparently theres only 1 indica pheno of sensi's jh, and i definitely have it. Im a fan of rich purple strains so that would be nice.

By the way. Ill be posting pictures later tonight.

Looking forward to the pics. It was a thread I found with a google search over on grasscity, he just talked about it. Didn't post any pics.

I will post a couple pics of mine. It was the buds that were more purple than the plant, but it did purple up a bit toward the end of flower. I will see if I can find a good flowering pic in a minute. You can see it relative to other buds in the pic of my harvest.

I wasn't the best about taking pics without the HPS on so this won't help much on the coloring but gives an idea on the bud structure etc. Basically it had some purpling in some of the veins on about half of the fan leaves, some stayed green. The purple "bag appeal" is definitely there.

@Cascadian. Yea man those nugs are straight purp. Wish i could see it in person. I honestly doubt any of my strains will turn purple for me. My nightime temps dont get under 70. Although some strains will regardless of temo, i have yet to have a strain turn purp for me. We shall see. I know Agent orange and ace of spades have the ability. Anyways, thanks for the pics man!

Good call with pollinating the haze pheno too mate, she'll rock any cross she goes into! The haze pheno i had that was similar to yours took 65 days to flower for me and she was very densly packed with crystals! The indica pheno took around 55 days and was still very crystal covered. It also packed a solid punch too :)

Oh hell yea. 65 days isn't too bad at all, especially for a haze. That's good news. I know there are 3 total haze phenos for sensi's JH though so hopefully I don't have one that takes 12+ weeks. I can't stand that. But there is only one indica dom pheno so you say I'm looking at 55 days for her, that will be nice. Only time will tell..

Here's a quick update on the males. All three of them look as if they are on the verge of splooging everywhere ! The AO male has already started his rounds. I'm debating whether or not to chop off the branches and just stick them in a flower vase with water until the rest of the sacks pop. Unless it's not necessary to even wait. If I can just chop off all the sacks and let them sit in a bag and get pollen from them I'd rather do that. Any tips???

Here's some pics of them. .....

1. AO male.

2. AO male again.

3. AO male again. This you can see an open pollen sack. I'm not sure what to do at this point. Should I just continue to isolate the males from the females and let more sacks open? Or since they have started popping on this plant, can I just cut off the sacks and put them in baggies and let them dry and shake the pollen out?

4. AOS male. These AOS males have tiny pollen sacks. They didn't get as big as I thought they might. They seem like every sack is getting ready to sprout open like a flower, all at once. lol. I'm not sure if it's too soon to chop him and collect or what. Input is greatly appreciated.

5. AOS male again... Sorry about the blurry picture. These are taken from a camera phone and it's tough to get these close shots. But you can see that they look like they are about to pop.
