Cool, yeah I'm vegging under a T5 I originally bought a 1000w MH/HPS but the 1000W made the room too hot. The T5 was also cheaper than a new ballast and bulb. I have mine still at 24 hr. Going to change them to 18/6 when I get home. I use the same calculator. Are you doing drain to waste or recirculating? My set up is identical to yours and our plants are about the same age ..good shit !
I just got home. 84.5 F in the tent, girls are looking good.

I've been on 18/6 just to reduce power usage. I did have them on 24/0 for a few days I accidentally bumped the on switch on the timer and forgot to put it back to the "timer" mode. Fixed that and ran them for 3 days back on 18/6 before placing in the tent, before going into the tent they had been under 2' T5's from HTG Supply

The 250W is a good light for the girls I found an electric ballast & light for $120 shipped on Ebay.

During the evening once the light shuts off the temp goes from ~ 85 to 76. I have the light & axial fan on the same timer because once the light is off the 190CFM exhaust fan & passive intake is more than adequate.

I live in the baking desert so I had to bring in a portable AC. The 400 CFM can fan I have wouldnt cool down the 1000W MH for vegging (rookie mistake) I should have also bought a 250W ballast but I didnt so I went the T5 route. Now the 400 CFM fan is hooked up to the Carbon Filter before I flower I will be buying a 650-700 CFM fan just for the hood alone. I lined my closet with reflectix from Lowes now I'm starting to wonder if that is insulating some heat , maybe I should have went Panda Film or straight Mylar??..Cool dude I gave you rep and will be checking this thread out ! Good stuff man thanks

WW is not doing as great as the AK... Here are some shots. Looks like she struggled to get her roots established. but finally has some coming out the bottom of the pot. What do you all think about the yellow leaves on the bottom?

AK shot healthy and off to the races
IMG_3185.JPG

WW yellow leaf only the two early leaves are yellowing cause for concern? Or possibly because of slow early growth because of longer than usual root development?
IMG_3184.JPG

WW Roots notice how they aren't centered and are coming out near the corner of the pot. The AK came straight down.

My White Russian is growing the same way as your white widow almost exactly the same with the roots comming out the side. Also my white Russians had those small yellow leafs too. Isnt white Russian a genetic mix of AK-47 & White Widow???...

Noticed the WW root (long one pictured above) fell off...Not sure if this was because a floating water bottle hit it or what... It looked to be a long tap root a larger cluster is visible now, I'm not too worried but she's struggling more than the AK that's for sure. Not sure on genetics.

Thanks, I'm heading to the store right now going to take a look at some insulated coolers. May be a better route I want to make sure reservoir temps stay way down.

Wally World has some coolers on sale now that Summer is ending !

I bought a little square 2.5 gallon Igloo (11"L x 8"W x12"H inside) for my clones the other day.
I can fit 15 - 2 inch neoprenes in there easily, although I will probably do just 12.

Just got back from the local hardware store, $30 for 2 5GA team water jugs... They are around the same height as a 5GA bucket so I didn't compromise with height too much. The difference is 4-5" which isn't too bad considering I'll have a nice insulated jug now

Pics to come once I get the ladies into their new homes. I'm going to plumb lines, clean & disinfect etc. The lids I've been using sit flush on the top of the new jug.

Just swapped the buckets out for the water jugs. Looks like I can maintain 3.5 - 4GA in the jug and still have an inch below the net pot.

Here are some photos. Each jug now has 2 4" air stones in it.

I plumbed in 2 air lines and duct taped them on the outside to prevent light leak.

Plants are 4" closer to light only a 1/2 degree increase!

Like the 5gal coolers, Weedler !
Someone else on here did that too, about a month ago.
I wouln't worry about the little condy's getting all yellow.
They are supoosed to do that. They served their purpose in the beginning. lol

SAY BH ! You are correct with your guess.
White Russian = AK47 x White Widow
Original Breeder is Serious Seeds. They also made Ak47.

Breeder's Description - 'White Russian'

These seeds produce plants that are fantastic in both appearance, and effect. Our most typically indica strain, White Russian is a stable cross of AK-47 and White Widow (a prize winning indica clone). Medium height, consistent plants and dense, very resinous flower tops (crystals appear after about 5 weeks of flowering). With such a strong indica background, the plants smell quite strong during both their growth and flowering period. In an independent seed comparison in which over 150 different seedstrains were grown out in a greenhouse, the White Russian came out as the strongest plant (22% THC, likely to be the strongest plant known at present!!). Winner of the overall Cannabis Cup in 1996 and of the Cup for Best Bio Grass in 1997. The plants yield very powerful buds, coated with resin.
Very strong, long lasting High, more cerebral than a knockout. Medicinal plant.

Thanks, I can't take all the credit, saw someone else on here doing something with water jugs so I decided to go look at a few local stores. Online they show a 7GA that is short & fat perhaps the height sits lower and would allow 5GA in a 7GA container? I could not find a 7GA jug other than a photo online...

I'll be topping the AK this weekend.

What does everyone think? 2nd node?

Yeah I went to the Depot its closer :D

Anyone using Amquel? or similar product to remove Chlorine / Chloramines? If so which brand? I noticed city water uses some stuff that may not be able to evaporate out. I'm not having an issue but want to make sure there isn't anything I haven't thought of and figured I'd pick up a bottle while I'm there for dog food.

Must have read my post on Amquel !? lol
Check with your city to see if they use Chlorine or ChlorAmine.
If just Chlorine, then sitting it out for 24hrs+ AND bubbling will get rid of it better/faster.
For ChlorAmine, you need something like Amquel Plus.
Check my thread thread too. I responded in there as well.
