The last job i had, there were 250 stabbings the first year I worked there.
I supervised 100's of murderers and rapists at work.
I retired after 25 years and i didn't die...
My grandmother suggested I get a correction’s officer job so I got the application and inquired about pay, it was less than 50% of what I making at the time so I was like no thanks. One mouth after tossing the app they had a riot and killed some guards and inmates ..... I feel like I made a good choice. It’s the prison Jim Baker was in and also had a large Cuban population I believe that was the root of the problem. ( to many unhappy Cubans not Jim)

good choice....most of us were working for the retirement. Many of us could have made more money working elsewhere, however they just don't offer retirement package like this anywhere else. They don't even offer it today to new hires..

The job I have now is a lot like that good benefits and retirement......if we don’t starve before then. Lol
The trick was I had to live long enough to collect it. My worst nightmare was attending a co-workers retirement party and funeral in the same month. :( Folsom Prison was not a good place to spend time, for convicts or staff. There are so many rules in prison (written and otherwise) & there are 100 ways to fail but only 1 chance to succeed. I feel very fortunate to get out of there with my retirement.

I get good money for what I do and then bennies through the wife....retirement is on me.
I feel you there. I was self employed most of my life until 2008 and I had an opportunity with a commercial construction co. but thanks to the economy that went up in smoke and my son was in college so I applied there because it would give him 1/2 tuition. But as it happens in life my wife became disabled and now I locked in for the insurance. Honestly I ain’t happy in this job at all but for the greater good of the family it’s where I’ll spend the rest of my days. I used to work with professionals that had real skills and now I’m the only one with real world experience and it really shows. But I can’t get along with most of the ass kissers so I’m domed . Ass kissing = promotions.

Idk but I got a gun pulled on me 4 times and was in multiple fights, but it would be hard to believe it topped chi town or the big red apple.
Yes it absolutely did I think in the 90s and has been in top 5 for decades, although research mostly shows how vastly it has turned around since 2009. I remember writing something about it, but m memory is a little fuzzy at times.

Man that's tough. I can be "right in" at a place that I've worked with for years......pay is ok, bennies ok, retirement ok......but the guy in charge last time was a moron that couldn't make a circle on steel to cut it out....didn't take my word for it an needed to go to someone with a computer....that's why I'm temp.....the other guy gets everything basic done cheep, but when shtf and they need something I'm there. I hear he's not around any more lol wonder why....

We all start somewhere, can I trim, yes, am I fast like a person who has done this for years or does this for work, no. Do i want to get into the industry and learn, yes. Im learning the basics as we speak
good work. during harvest season in NorCal good trimmers can make some quick money and get a foot in the door to meet growers. There are a lot of ways to earn a living in the pot trade. best of luck

1) I hide weed and money all over the place so no matter where I am, I always have access to weed and cash for coffee.

2) My dad died 3 years ago and I still can't go into his garage for more than 5 minutes because he didn't like anyone going in there.

3) I have 45+ old cars (rusty gold) that people would kill to own and I know nothing about cars.
