any noticeable side-effects like decreased potancy or smaller harvest?[/quote]

YES, I noticed a decrease in yield on 6 out of 8 plants. Not good odds....
Not recommended to do this, but if you gotta, you gotta.
Since you Clone from an Established Female in Flower (2 weeks when she shows sex) then revert her back to Vegitative stage for 2 weeks.
This seems to work OK, but not excellent.
Imagine being in the 5th grade and being sent BACK to kindergarden...
I would be pissed alot, and so would the plant. However, you repeat kindergarden - 5th grade and thennnnn, you graduate to 6th and beyond, Meaning after the initial SHOCK of getting sent back a few grades, you go on with life and become a Productive Part of Society, In lamens terms.

thanks, very helpful. I guess it is really bad for the plants. I'm glad I got the seedlings on their own light timer now. 18/6. I think they should grow much faster with the extra light too. do it right or be disappointed.

We have taken clones within the 1st week of flowering before in the past and they have turned out fine! I havnt really experimented enough with clones to go into much detail but I suppose it wouldnt hurt trying a little further into the process!
