Its 50 gallons. I do flood and drain. (Pic)can you freeze a bottle of water to add to your dwc res? it works quite well aparently
I don't mind to. But its our bedroom and my wife probably wouldn't like it. But.....its for my plants baby. LmaoFor real though, you might be able to exhaust the heat since you only have one light. You'll probably need to up it to a 6" or 8" inline fan though. Can you cool the room that the tent is in with a window AC instead of going the portable AC route?
I bought one used and it only lasted about a year. Then I bought a new one and it's still going after about 4 years. The biggest problem is what you kicking it on and off as you mentioned. If you have the AC on the outside of the tent, its temperature reading won't jive. I solved this by turning it to the coolest setting and running one of these thermostat plugs into the tent as a controller. This causes it to kick on and off instead of going into standby mode like it was designed to do. It's probably not great for longevity, by like I said mine has held up for years now.
This one is nice because you can program the temps for lights on and off.

Wait. Which one did you buy used and then new? The Tripp Lite Srcool?

I don't even have one of those. I think a person could make one with a some copper tubing and an air conditioner. Kind of like a stingeris it the fact thatthe chiller is out of water during the flood? i dont think there designed to be treated like that. just a thaught
Well. 4 years is pretty good. Im getting one. I have to. Or all my plants will die i feel like. Or have no yield. They were both Tripp Lite 12k.
