T5HO for scrog?

I have a 2 foot 4x24watt T5HO fixture with individual reflectors that was originally used for a reef tank. Now it is collecting dust and I was wondering if this fixture would be adequate for a small scrog grow. I would replace the current bulbs with something in the range of 5,500 to 6,500K. It has a built in fan that I could rig a small carbon filter to. This would vent outside the box, filter odors and remove heat from the fixture all at once. Any comments/suggestions would be much appreciated!

You should be able to grow a couple of small plants with that light.
As for the spectrum, 6500K is used for vegging, and 2700K is used for flowering.
I would recommend putting 2 bulbs of each into your T5 fixture, so your plants would get a nice full spectrum of light.
You should be safe to grow in a about a 2'x2' area with your T5.
Your plan sounds solid, good luck with it.

Thanks for the reply. I'm hoping my local hydroponic store carries 2' bulbs. Also, the fixture has 2 switches and 2 power cords for a dawn to dusk effect, so I can have 2 or all 4 bulbs on at the same time if that matters.
