I will read your link as well but how do you decarb? Iv been debating how i plan to do it
I keep my washes separate to maximize quality. If you really don't care about that then go a head and mix them. I have mixed them before and it's just fine, but not as good as straight A grade is. Quality is the main reason I don't use heat to evap the alcohol too. Heat will also evap your terpenes and you loose flavor.

I developed my process based on what I wanted to get in return vs the amount of work it takes. I found a method that gets me the best quality I can get with a decent yield and as little work or messing around as possible.

I do 3 washes to maximize yield. The first wash and second get the most yield, but the third is still a decent amount so I don't like to waste it.

I don't decarb anything I plan on smoking, there is no need. And I don't usually decarb the stuff for edibles because I typically use material that has already been dried so the decarb has started. Then I typically cook the edibles or the butter/oil when I infuse it so it gets decarbed then.

When I make candy I heat the concentrate for a few minutes in about a tablespoon of everclear on a coffee pot warmer. This helps the oil dissolve and also helps start the decarb. Then I add this warm alcohol/oil solution to the hot candy and that finishes the job and distributes the oil into the candy. I haven't had a batch that didn't work yet.

Thats already exactly to a tee pretty much how i was doing in although one tip you may or may not want to try...The very last step after you transfer to parchment, use the flat style hair straightener on the lowest setting and set it to the lowest setting (100-150 degrees) and set your parchment paper right on it, you will still see some residual bubbling off of alcohol and it will kind of muffin like it does with the vacuum technique

Also i use 99% isopropyl alcohol. I got a 12 pack of 1 quart bottles off amazon for $25. But Everything else the same way, 30 second wash, metal strainer with (brown unbleached) coffee filters, Alcohol and buds/trim frozen for a few days and put into freezer after wash then refilter

That 10 g was just because I was testing the yield on some flower at the time. Normally I fill a quart size jar about 3/4 full with premium material.

I've done the hair straightener thing it works fine. I usually try not to use any heat. It retains the terps better.

When I'm done evaping with the moon air on it I'm left with a dry crystal. It NEVER flashes or sizzles or tastes funny which tells me it's clean enough. Based on my research alcohol separate and evaporates much easier and more effectively then butane. Since the alcohol is naturally a liquid at room temp it doesn't get trapped in the oil the same way the gaseous butane does. The alcohol always evaps off before the little bit of what that is left . The water takes the longest to evap, but usually I can evap a quart of solution in about 24 hours to a dry crystal.
